Had knee replacement. I'm 5 ft tall and it worked great for me

After two other riser failures, I was finally able to get one that worked. It is about 1/2 shorter than the actual toilet but fits well over it and the bolts were easy to secure with my toilet seat attached. The only thing I can think I would really like is one in a 4 size with a dip in front to be easier on cleaning the front individual person's stuff. This does work okay however and it does not scoot around or pull left or right. I am a 5'9 female and in my old age (79) have gained weight after quitting smoking, drinking and retiring. Weighing around 225 lbs. Have quit everything else but like to eat. (LOL). I thought about getting a new toilet seat but decided against it. I am going to purchase a cover for the lid. I would like to mention that the small tabs covering the screws do not fully close, so I have put some liquid nails on the ends to make them stay down. Sure hope I don't have to tighten the screws. The screws were very long and would really cover a larger lid cover. They did tighten down easily but it was an ordeal to get down there for me. Thought I would have to call 911 to get someone to get me up. LOL All in all I got it down in about 20 minutes which includes taking off the lid and installing this set up. I would highly recommend this as I think it is a godsend since the toilet itself was so low, can't understand why they would make such a low toilet in the first place.

I just wished I ordered sooner. I had support barsbut this seat enabled me to remove them and just use the seat.

Got this for my husband who was recovering from surgery. What I like about this product as opposed to others, is that it fits between the toilet bowl and the toilet lid so I can still use the toilet seat.

We installed a separate hand rail, added a toilet seat (was also able to keep the non-electric Bidet hooked up also). The long bolts were just right to go through the seat, the riser and the rails. Being able to lift up the seat makes for easy cleaning.

Wish it came with fillers as it tends to slide backwards on the toilet!!

The metal bolts that are used to connect this to the toilet will most definitely turn into sticks of rust, and they have become absolutely impossible to remove. Get your tetanus shots and keep your kids away, and make sure that you have power tools to cut through the rusted metal for when you eventually want to remove this riser.

Getting a hip replacement soon and it hurts badly enough now to sit lower to ground as is. I'm 5'7 and my feet touch the ground just enough to reduce a LOT of pressure on the hip joint. Wife is 5'3 and it is fine for her given I have to have it installed for me but we both need to use the master bath. So it should be fine for most adult heights. The bolts were the same width as those that came with the Kohler toilet seat, and the holes in the riser were drilled at the right locations. The bolts were plenty long enough to easily secure both the toilet seat and riser to the commode. There is a metal washer that goes under the bolt head at the top, that fits well into the toilet seat hinges, and the plastic washer that goes underneath just before the wingnut also does the trick. Bottom line is everything installed as adverstised and works perfecty. It is also very secure. The hinge on the riser is great to allow for cleaning.Helpful hints: You may need pliers to hold the wingnuts from turning as you tighten the screws to maximize the secure fit. I also recommend using the washers that come with it. If you use all metal washers and don't use the plastic washer on the bottom, you will not be able to get it as tight as you want, and also risk cracking the commode as you try.This product is highly recommended.
