Mission: Estill County 21st Century dba Estill Development Alliance was formed in the mid-1990s by a group of civic-minded community leaders. EDA serves as an economic and community development catalyst for our rural Appalachian community. We identify development needs in the community, big and small, and either try to get a program in place to meet those needs or help other organizations in our community develop the capacity to meet the needs.

Target demographics: improve the quality of life

Direct beneficiaries per year: over 2000 individuals and nearly 100 businesses and organizations.

Geographic areas served: Irvine, Ravenna, & Estill County, Kentucky

Programs: EDA serves as and/or houses the Estill County Chamber of Commerce, Estill Action Group, River City Players Community Theater Group, Irvine Rivertown Renaissance downtown revitalization program, community service/volunteer coordination, youth leadership development, citizen leadership development, Estill County Industrial Development Authority, and the Estill County Hall of Honor.
