Love this hammer it's the second one I've owned I bought this same hammer probably 15 years ago and that one is still great just worn out. The balance and feel is great and being a labor/carpenter you have to find the right hammer for you and this one is definitely the right hammer for me. Love the look of this hammer as well just a very nice tool.

I like Estwing tools, they are sturdy, and well madein the USA. Don't let this particular hammer get wet, it will mess up the handle.

There's nothing I don't like about this hammer. I got the 12 oz version and it's perfectly balanced. The leather handle is very comfortable. This will be passed down to my kids and will still be in amazing shape I'm sure. Very high quality hammer for the money.

Handle seems like it is securely and permanently attached to the shank and head. Believe it will last a lifetime.
