Was relieved that this did the job. I had 4 bulbs to replace that is why i decided to purchase this. I would say these fixtures were over 20 ft high and needed to replace the older compact fluorescent light bulb they came out easy and was able to replace with LED bulbs. was really happy with the results. Remember it doesn't have the extension pole you'll need to get one.

This bulb changer worked flawlessly. I trial fitted it on 3 different painters (roller) poles I have in my shed. The bulb changer fit all 3, providing you back the locking thumb screw out so it doesn't interfere with the threads. I took out a normal bulb, and then installed a flood LED. No worries...

Once upon a time I used to stand on a metal box that I place on a chair just so I could reach the light bulb socket. This light bulb socket is located in the hallway leading upstairs. So I had to place a chair on steps that was dangerous. Now that I am older (60 years), weigh more and not comfortable with relying on my stability, I searched for something that I could use to reach the light bulb socket safely. I am so happy that I found this product. I did not buy the pole but used a old sponge mop pole which worked just as well.A lot of people said that they had problems with the spiral light bulbs, I did notice that as I was screwing counter clockwise, the standard light bulb gripper also was unscrewing. I just tightened the screw on the light bulb gripper onto the mop pole and it worked. I haven't tried any of the other grippers but am looking forward to seeing if it will work on the flood light bulb outside.

I successfully used the largest cage to change BR30 light bulbs and tried to use it for BR40, but wasn't enough room. If there is plenty of space, this works great. There were the two highest ones I needed to change that were in a tighter-fitting housing and no luck getting it to go around the bulb.So I tried the suction cup, and I couldn't get it to work at all. Tried on a light bulb that was in my hand just to see if I could make it work, but I could get a little suction, but broke the suction just barely pulling on it.Haven't tried any of the other parts. I will probably keep it just in case a bulb ever gets broken off, those other things would probably be handy.

24 foot ceiling in the living room. broke a bulb trying to change it with the wrong tool. with this kit I was able to remove the bulb base left in the socket, and to properly install a new bulb, all while standing on the floor using a long extension pole.

Used this to change over 100 bulbs, some 24 ft up.Worked flawlessly.Have to insure that you have the bulb centered on the cup before you twist.Only dropped 2 and caught them both!

At first I tried to use it like the one on the bottom. After I figured out the plastic pieces needed to touch the bulb to provide friction like the one on the top it worked great.

tried to use for my flood light bulbs but the spring one designed for that didn't fit in the fixture. then tried to use the suction cup but the attachment just unscrewed from the pole then the suction cup stripped out of the attachment and I had to climb up and change it by hand anyway....

As others have noted, the pole unscrews itself as you use it. Once you duct tape the pole together to prevent the unscrewing you get screwed when the light bulb doesn't budge and when you try to remove the gripper, you also remove your light fixture. I managed to shove the light fixture back into the ceiling but CANNOT get the gripper to let go of the bulb. This is in a 10 foot ceiling, I'm up an 8 foot ladder and the damned thing will NOT come off of the bulb because of the spring that hinges all of the fingers together. I'm thinking of shattering the bulb and then trying to remove the cage. I'll remove the remainder of the bulb when the power is off.DON'T GET THIS THING

I recently changed 6 light bulbs in a high ceiling using the suction cup accessory. It worked great and I no longer need to depend on my tall son to come over and change bulbs for me. The suction cup does make me a bit nervous, but like I said, it worked well for me.In addition, a while ago I needed to change a bulb (not high ceiling) and the bulb broke. This set has a gizmo for removing the socket of a broken bulb. It worked well.

Ladder does not help reach the spiral CFL bulb on the pantry ceiling because of shelving. The small attachment helped remove it and replace with a bigger LED. Very pleased!
