Great resource to use for my beginning writers so they can know what is expected in their writing. I love how this builds and consists of tasks that to the point.

This book is used for homeschool for us. It is a great book for learning how to do some creative writing. It is not just about writing stories, it has some activities to look for in stories that are already written and then at the end of the week you write your own story and apply the concepts you have learned all week.

Great focused writing activities that keep my 3rd grader engaged and not feeling too put upon time wise. ;)

I use this every day for my 3rd grade class. My favorite part is how fast each lesson is.

I love the way this book is organized. My kids can do a lesson a day which focuses on one idea for writing and leads up to the 5th day where they apply what they've learned about that idea. For example the first week's idea is about how to choose a strong topic. The first four days gives them short activities to do in which they see examples of strong ideas. Then the 5th says they get a writing prompt where they can put to practice what they learned. There is a two page teacher lesson plan that shows the answers to there questions and how to guide them through it. (See photo)
