Mission: The mission of Every Child Has a Story is to empower children and teens by becoming the bridge in the village it takes to raise a child, connecting families in a reciprocal learning experience. Through Speech Crafters Speech and Debate Club, “The Only Public Speaking Club for Kids and Teens in AL, ” and “The Writer’s Vibe, “Empowering the Voices of Today’s Youth through Words, ” we build and enhance stellar self-confidence and self-esteem in families across communities. We are striving to create tomorrow’s leaders. These leaders will be equipped to take their rightful places in society and lead their communities towards success.
Results: Children growing up with confidence in their own abilities tend to do better in school, take better care of themselves than their peers with low self-confidence levels, and excel in sports and socialization. Teens with self-confidence are better able to withstand peer pressure and to make decisions with their own best interests in mind. Stellar communication skills makes all this possible. Imagine a future like this for every child! This is our vision. Because of the work we do at Every Child Has a Story …this VISION is absolutely possible.
Target demographics: Youth ages 8 and above
Direct beneficiaries per year: 75 youth in our communities
Geographic areas served: Youth Communication Development
Programs: Speech Crafters Speech and Debate Club teaching oral communication and presentation skills and The Writer's Vibe which helps put words to feeling, ideas and dreams, creating young authors who confidently tell the stories only they can tell. Jr CEO Academy Huntsvilles teaches entreprenurial sklls to youth and assist them in starting businessess. Our virtual learning platorm, Speak Out Write Now Academy offers over 60 lesson plans, video lectures in all programs. All you need if wifi. We published our first magazine, Youth Talk Magazine, created and developed by youth for youth. We have big things in store for our community kids. . . with your help.
