I bought this because I wanted something that would naturally help keep my beardies nails maintained. She has a 40 gallon tank and this sandmat fits in it perfectly. There's a little extra but it's not even worth trying to trim down. I put the sandmat on topnof her terrarium carpet for a little more insulation. It's a nice snug fit. The only thing is, there will be the scratching sound from the rocks and the glass while putting it in. I can't say how easy this is to clean but with it being sandy/grainy it would be better than cleaning the carpet. I absolutely love this and would recommend to anyone!

this item is perfect for my tortoise. I use it as a feed mat since I don't want him consuming the wood chips I use for his general bedding. I cut a piece off and place it use his heat and uv lamps. it's VERY messy but I knew this having purchased it before but worth it. if you try and clean it you end up spraying half the sand and rock off so it's not very reusable but it's perfect for a sunning and eating area for my small(but growing quickly) desert tortoise.

Sand came off at fist poop clean pick up. Not worth the money i spent.

These are good for bearded dragons that are young and not ready for sand.

Initially I was happy that it fit perfectly and looks good. But glued rocks and sand fall off easily. It does not take much at all for them to come off, a slightest shake or turn when you try to clean. You can see from the pictures that one light rinse and a one side is already bare to the matt. Not worth it. Will have to replace right away.

I use the map as a base to build my vivarium. I like it because when my bearded dragon big rock mat. I do have a complaint at the little rocks on the mat gets pulled off very easily. But other than that it's still a pretty good mat but by itself I would not recommend. this is better if it is used as last layer for the soil, sand, or anything else. Just not the mat by itself.

I don't know who thought this was a good idea. Loose substrates are not safe for bearded dragons, and this sheds a lot of rocks. It is impossible to clean. I tried wiping it, but it was still gross, so I rinsed it, and it came apart. The foam literally disintegrated. Also, when my lizard walked around on it, it made this super loud scraping sound. It was cute for like 2 seconds. But it is not safe or functional and I took it out.
