For five years I had emergency cold weather gear and sundry items lashed to a good spot under the deck and over various equipment lockers in all weathers while working a twin-steer.Unless your gear is very light weight, the XL (I think its 70 Liters) is too heavy to lug through an airport.Shortly after the first one I bought two small ones that still serve me well. The big one holds a stash of extreme weather gear in the back of the closet that I may never need again.I use one or both of the smaller ones rather regularly..All are still totally waterPROOF!The clever little side pockets are too clever and somewhat fragile.I have come to distain zippers. I strongly recommend clips, cinch-straps, buttons, pull-snaps velcro.I note a maintenance advisory; Use a very, very light application of petroleum jelly to keep the vinyl from hardening in the weather or ozone. Very light. Wipe off any residue. Works for all vinyl I have tried it on so far.

Saw Tdubs kid used this bag and decided to give it a try. Decently heavy-duty and fully waterproof. Great option for a poor man's motorcycle duffle. Its also freaking HUGE, I got the smaller one and can easily fit a full 7 days of outfits in the bag with room to spare.

Very nice bag. Huge inside. Great material. I just wish the plastic buckle/clasps were more durable; one of the plastic clasps cracked and now I can't cinch the side to side belt. It will still keep the water out, I just can't adjust the over-strap without the clasp popping loose. This is the reason for the four stars. Otherwise, the bags are a five star product.I read other posts stating these aren't waterproof, I call BS. These bags are as water proof as any other roll down dry bag; if you submerge them they will leak. The waterproof characteristic is a function of the design, as the material is basically the stuff they make white water rafts out of, so that aspect of the bag is extremely waterproof, the rest is reliant upon the user folding the top down correctly.

This is a pretty nice bag for the price, and a lot bigger than I was expecting. I bought the 70L and I'm able to fit my hammock, underquilt, rainfly, regular tarp, sleeping bag, mess/kitchen kit, food bag and camera bag (total of 30lbs) with plenty of room to spare. I could probably fit 2x of everything I already have in there with space for more.I think my only complaint is that with how big it is, it can be a little awkward to carry- which a shoulder strap would've made it a lot easier. Also a big plus would've been to have more webbing loops on the bag to make strapping it down easier and more secure. My 4 star rating is really a 4.5 star rating because I do like the bag, but a couple improvements would've made it perfect. Still a great deal for being in the $30 range though so I can't really complain. Only time will tell it's durability though.
