The wood was a splintered mess at every edge and corner. I should have sent it back because it wasnt worth what I paid. I ended up spending several hours sanding it to make it usable.

I love that I can use this one frame for a variety of project sizes. It is easy to assemble and use.The only con, which is why I docked a star: It's a bit unfinished. There were splinters that I had to smooth out from the pieces before using.I wish I bought this frame first instead of the more expensive one that I can't adjust. It would've saved me $30.

This scroll is perfect for a couple of cross stitch projects I'm working on, but the wing nuts that come with the set are absolute garbage and don't tighten or hold anything. I brought the end pieces to my local hardware shop so they could get the right size replacement. At 33 cents per wing nut, my scroll is now pretty darn perfect and works just right.

I like this particular brand of scroll embroidery frames. They are well made. You don't get the creases in your work like embroidery hoops and PVC type holders. They don't hold the work completely taut, but if you press down on the Aida cloth with the thumb of your non dominant hand, it does keep it tight as you're stitching. Hint: put masking tape on the edges of the Aida cloth to prevent raveling and prevent the thread from getting caught in the rough edges.

These are good frames however, the wing nuts are not the quality they use to use. After tightening they sometimes break lose and loosen the bolts. However all I did was to purchase more wing nuts

I bought this because the cross stitch I was working on was very hard to manage with a smaller scroll. The finished product is 8x18, which is an awkward size. These new scrolls were really easy to use, held my fabric taut, and are very sturdy. Definitely recommend these guys!

Yes it is a fantastic deal but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. There were so many splinters that I was actually nervous to even touch the frames let alone try to use them. Several of the slots and holes were not even fully cut through. Sure it is sturdy but it is not actually useable. Do not buy this item unless you want to spend the time to finish cutting the slots, drilling the holes, and sanding the pieces. I do not feel like doing all of that work so I am going to return it.

These are poorly made you cannot tighten them and if you are successful in getting the structure together once you start trying to stitch it will start to break apart.

I'm truly pleased with this purchase, but I must admit that I was shocked when I saw that I had to put the frames together, but I had it put together in 5 minutes, because everything was so simple and the instructions was super easy, if you enjoy needle point , cross stitch, even weaving, you will love these frames, truly a great buy, especially for the price /
