I was looking for basic stretcher strips for my needlepoint, and these really fit the bill. They are simple to put to put together, and the price is quite reasonable. I can just staple the fabric onto the bars and start stitching. It can be hard to find stretcher bars in my rural area, so these are a really great find for me. I think the price is quite reasonable, and since the bars come is sets of two same size bars, you can get just the size you need, for say 8 by 10 or smaller or larger. ( if you are using them as a stitching frame, be sure to get a size large enough to be able to stitch to the edge of the design and still have enough fabric or canvas to staple to the frame and hold while stitching.) You can also use these strips to mount finished needlework for framing. Again, be thoughtful about the size(s) you need. Then, you can staple the finished work to the stretcher strips and finish out the project with cording, fabric, or other sorts of trim to frame the work and cover the strips.

Perfect quality and fit for my project. I bought linen tea towel that I wanted to mount on 2 sets of stretcher bars as art. Good value and quality.

They need to be more clear about the number of bars mailed. Can you say donation?

Accurately cut for length and cross-sectional dimension, these bars go together easily and hold well without racking, once the canvas is secured. While the outside surfaces of the bars are well-finished, the cuts where the bars interlock are left somewhat rough. That's fine, as far as their inner surfaces go, but splinters and whiskers of wood are left sticking out, which can snag you, if you are not careful or do not remove them. The wood is quite soft, presumably pine.

These stretcher bars worked very well and snapped together very snug, which is good so they won't slip.
