I use for needlepoint. It is a tight fit and retains its shape well. These are 5/8 inch all around. Not 1 1/4 like I used for painting canvases.

Compared to other stretcher bars these are quite expensive. But the corners fit very tightly. I am happy I got them for smaller projects. If I was making something larger, I might put screws through the corners to hold the 90 degrees.

I love needlepointing, but have enough pillows, so just wanted to frame this one for my workroom, and this made a great frame. Had to put little supports in the corners so they wouldn't move, but worked great. I use these for all sorts of fabric display, and for doing the actual neddlepointing as well.
