Smoothly sanded, lightweight wood makes this frame easy to move. I like that it can shorten for twin or baby quilts. Instructions need to be read entirely prior to assembly to avoid missteps. Instructions detail how to make an attachment binder to install quilting materials. Material is not included. Just use old denim or twill fabric and staple or tack to frame rails. It took about 30 minutes to assemble the frame (even with missteps.)The adjustible tilt function adds needed tension to keep quilt stretched while sewing. It's sturdy enough empty, (but more so with a quilt installed) and comes complete with hardware. You need a couple of sizes of Phillip's screwdrivers and a drill is optional. I've had other frames and this is by far, my choice going forward.

The insructions were a bit confusing but I followed them as written. The screws for the legs seem too long and I had problems getting them in all the way with a Ryobi screwdriver. I plan on getting a more powerful screwdriver to tighten the legs a bit more.

I moved into a small apartment and didn't have room to set up. Large frame is any longer. This quilting frame has allowed me to continue my favorite hobby. I'm so grateful to find it!

I purchased this to support my wife's new hobby of hand quilting. It was easy to assemble and the only thing additional we had to purchase was the heavy material to attach the quilt to the roll arms. We will see how it holds up, my wife just put a quilt on the frame to start today.

This item went to a friend. She told me it was easy to assemble, and she thought it was sturdy enough. I do not think that she has tried it out yet, but once she has, I will update this review.

I wished I would of purchased this years ago. The set up was easy for me. I figured out laying the quilt sandwich on my king size help out when I started rolling it. I also purchased the extension as most of my quilts are queen and king. The ability to adjust the angle is wonderful especially if the line you are quilting is straight or curved.I read in some reviews that the quilting area was not as tight as desired. To circumvent this I cut a 2x1 board into lengths of 20'. I place these pieces under the quilt to keep the longer pieces apart and to stop the bowing. it helps stabilize the quilting area and also tightens the surface.

Very easy to put together. Took my a bit to figure out how to attach the quilt and roll it. Gets easier with each quilt. I've only done twin size quilts and worked very well. I staple fabric to the rolling pieces to pin the ends of the quilt to.

when you put the legs on the screw is a star hex ,( works well with a rachet), not a phillips. The wood is so soft ( Pine) . The bars are slightly curved from moisture. Have to be careful it will not split. The bars for the quilt I used pool noodles and wrapped the sandwich of fabric to and used pins to hold it. Where the bars meet in the center the noodles gives more leverage. But it needs something to keep it from bowing. The screws dont keep tight.
