This frame is a good send. If you don't have one do yourself a favor and order

I love this!!! I recently went back to cross stitching and was using a hoop for the first few days. But once I started using this going back to the hoop seemed weird and I don't have both hands free to just sew. They really help when I watch TV in our room while I'm on the bed. it's just the right size and I can use the long rod for my big project right now. Really worth it.

I love the concept, but it can be cumbersome to load with project and advance project. The bolts tend to strip have had to replace them. Caution while using on a couch, etcthe bolts will rip your furniture, recommend wrapping the feet if using on furniture. Been using for over a year with a few modifications it works quite well.

I've finished a few projects on this. It's very comfortable and can accommodate many different sized projects. The only problem is there is one wing nut that seems to constantly need tightening.

My daughter uses it for her larger cross stitch projects. She likes that she has her hands free . She dislikes how it is slightly difficult to maneuver to a new section.

This frame is really a no-brainer, but I needed something inexpensive, quick to assemble and easy to use. It took I and my caregiver over an hour to get it together. I used to work at Michaels Arts and Crafts and was head of the stitchery department, and from going to needlework fairs where everything from soup to nuts was sold. Somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost bits and pieces of three frames. Just having to buy a fourth one didn't put any smiles on my face. You know the old saw - you get what you pay for. Whether I will use it again after this project, I don't know, so really didn't want to spend a lot of money on a really good frame. If I find myself really getting back into it, then I will go for a stronger frame. It takes four hands to put it together. It also takes that many hands to hold the frame and stitch at the same time.

It was easy to put together, and the height/width is good, but its not terribly sturdy, could use some reinforcement of some kind.

I love this frame. It is designed to be hands free so you can have one had behind and one hand I the front for needlework. I had one for years and lost it in a move. I was eager to get another. If I find it, I can have two projects going at one time!

This is a gift for a friend, but from visual inspection everything seems great. It's pretty basic but the price was very reasonable.

Very good value at a low price. It is a soft wood; don't expect oak. All the wood pieces were straight, and I assembled it in a few minutes. No tools needed. I would definitely carry it to events, as it is sturdy enough. I would buy it all over again.

The frame itself is great, good quality wood, well designed. Only issue I had was that half the wing nuts included to secure the bolts were faulty, which in a frame like this means you can't tension the fabric properly. The bolts are also a slightly uncommon gauge (10-32) making it tough to locate good replacements for the wing nuts. $3 worth of hardware solved the problem but still frustrating to get such cheap hardware with the quality wood frame.

I think all lap stands can be cumbersome, but this large width was more than I wanted to deal with. The wing nut screws caught the thread, so this has to be accommodated too. I would skip the lap versions and get one that pulls up to your lap and sits on the floor. I removed the stand and just used the frame.

You will have to replace the bolts and wing nuts. They are awful. Otherwise works great.

I really love this frame. I use for my cross stitch, and, as a basic newbie, I wondernif perhaps my DISLIKE of the frame is operator error. You see, it fails to hold the cloth tight, and I find myself constantly tightening the scroll. This also occasionally hppened with my smaller hoops, so again...not sure if it's just me or the product. Other than that, I love how it is adjustable width and height, and can be used while sitting in a chair or sofa ( although it doesn't work on extremely cushy sofas...it needs a firmer surface I have found) I also have been using it on a table...and that is my favorite spot so far. Better lighting at my craft table . It is made of pine wood however, so when you tighten the screws it sinks a bit...line being such a soft wood. I plan on giving it all a light coat of poly when I am in between projects ( NOT the dowels that hold the cloth! Just the braces that TIGHTEN to see of that helps) ...All in all a decent purchase for the money..and I would recommend and or buy again.

Let me start off by saying I read some reviews that almost turned me away. But, I'm glad I ordered anyways. Assembly is very simple. There are two longer bolts that have to go where the frame attaches to the legs. As far as sturdiness goes it works for how much you paid. Its not meant to be leaned on or banged around. But the fSofter material helps to clamp down on the fabric. However the closed end of the rods do not hold the fabric snug. I found that moving the side of the frame inwards past the slits for the fabric and tighten it down there made it tighten down on that end. You lose more surface area to work but it worked for me.
