I purchased these for my new cross-stitch thats fairly long. This works well in holding the fabric in place. I do have to adjust the fabric after awhile if working because the constant push and pull loosens it up a bit, BUT I think its partly due to the small width of my project. The top and bottom of the fabric barely reach the wooden poles. Overall it is very easy to use and a great purchase.

I love these frames, I now have every size they offer, I use them for my cross stitch, holds the material tight. Very easy to use. My Lowery stand holds them well.

Missing knobs for tightening fabric

The clamps hold the fabric a lot more tightly than I thought they would so I was pleasantly surprised there. It's tricky getting the fabric straight on the rod and under the clamp at the same time. Four hands might help. I think I'd rather have the kind of rod with the webbing strip onto which you baste your piece but I could not find any. Once the fabric is on it works well and it's not coming off until the project is done.
