I broke the fourth metacarpal on my left hand and needed something that I can get on and off by myself. This is easy to use, easy to adjust, and even fits fluffy people like me. You can easily bend the metal inserts to adjust the position of your fingers. Washes well but remove the metal inserts first. Tip: Mark the inserts so you know how they go back into the brace.

Broke my hand and the doctor gave me one of these. But wearing the same one for 6 weeks sounded pretty gross so I bought another one. Exact same brand and everything. Then if it got wet in the shower I could put on a dry one and let the first dry out. It is easy to wash. I just pulled out the metal stays and put it in the washer with delicates. Or you can hand wash. Dries overnight. Really glad I bought a second one.

I bought this as a splint for use after my hand surgery for Dupuytren's Contracture. I wear the splint every night and must do this for 90 days after surgery. It is very comfortable at night and doesn't interfere with my sleep. I bought this on my own accord; check with your physician/surgeon before buying this device for your own use.
