Mission: Faith N Friends Horse Rescue and Sanctuary is committed to caring for equines and other animals that come to the rescue due to abuse, neglect, owner surrenders, slaughter sales, injuries, illness, and many other reasons. Each animal that comes to Faith N Friends is evaluated for medical, behavioral, and workable risks. The animals are always treated by a professional for any medical, dental, and hoof needs. Animals’ behavior and workability are evaluated by our trainers and experienced volunteers. Once the evaluations are completed, an individual plan for each animal is created. After the animal’s rehabilitation is complete, they are placed into approved forever homes. Of course there are some animals that after evaluation we do not find fit to be adopted; these animals, along with others that we believe would make great therapy animals, become sanctuary ambassadors. They will live out the rest of their lives on the farm bringing joy to volunteers, lessoners, and other visitors. Faith N Friends believes it is very important to not just save horses through the rescue program but to reach out into the community and help educate unknowledgeable horse owners on the proper care for their equines. Faith N Friends also does “mercy trimmings” – a program that is free to those who need to learn proper hoof care and get neglected hooves back on track. Faith N Friends provides a home for mentally and physically handicapped children and adults as well. Through therapy with the rescues and riding lessons handicapped people find a safe place in Faith N Friends; some even become volunteers. Faith N Friends is a place where we are helping horses help people. Our team of rescued sanctuary miniature horses loves to travel to public schools and backyards to bring hope and friendship to those who can’t come to them. Faith N Friends is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit in Corryton, Tennessee that is 100% donation funded and volunteer supported. All donations and sponsorships go to rescuing and rehabilitating unwanted, sick, injured, neglected, and abused animals. We are very appreciative of all our contributors, both big and small!
