This is an incredible story about an epic struggle of two guys and their desire to document what is happening to our planet. I recommend this for anybody that is concerned about global warming and its impact on our planet and our children.

True story on climate change. Realistic, fantastic descriptions-almost felt cold while reading.Funny, the author was not the Eric Larson I was expecting. Great read.

This book was amazing. I could hardly put it down. It does a great job of describing just how difficult their journey was while also telling the story of climate change.

Nicely written book about two explorers who plan to make one last trip to the North Pole whilst this is still possible. Climate change is making this trip an impossibility, according to Eric Larsen. Very well written. When I was a much younger man I always thought this would be a magnificent adventure. Now that I am much older I still like reading about younger men/women who can make trips like these. If you like adventure books like this you will not be disappointed. Man vs nature, as they said in HS language arts class. Good book. I got it at my local library. I do not purchase books. My library rocks.

Wow. What a story and what amazing photos to match. If you want to see what it would be like to go to the arctic circle, without all the expense and suffering, this is a great way to go. This is the ultimate arm-chair adventure book.

Eric is a true hero for our environment and his story is a must read. I have had the pleasure of meeting him and his passion for the north is not only expressed eloquently in the pages of his book but also in his personal attitude about the preservation and conservation of our wonderful places. Cold places! A must read, a must share with our kids so they know what we have and what we have to save.

Amazing story!! This is a real page-turner-I couldn't put it down! Great writing, amazing photos, and an urgent warning message about our climate crisis. I was also able to see Eric give a presentation at REI and he covered most of the subject matter in this book-so if you see he's coming to your city-it's well worth your time to go see him! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and would most highly recommend it!

Great book! Well-written with beautiful photographic illustrations. Our planet is changing rapidly, and those on the front lines at the most sensitives places on Earth are seeing it changing right in front of their eyes. Thank you for keeping the subject of climate change alive.

This is by far the best book I have read in a long time. Once you open it you can't put it down. I could feel the pain and drama of there ordeal. The color photos are great and the details are so interesting. I want more!! Eric is an awesome writer.
