Programs:
Emergency Shelter program: Includes 60-days of shelter, food, clothing, laundry, transportation, social services, cash flow training, and community connections to stabilize families and enhance options for stable parent employment/housing. Social Work Team and an interfaith network of volunteers partner in the effort. The goal is to assist families in securing employment and sustainable, long-term housing.

Pet Program:Provides domestic pets belonging to families in our Emergency Shelter Program with food, litter, on-site private kennels and proper space for family interaction for typical domestic pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish, geckos, etc. ). Pets play a powerful role in comforting children and offering stability and unconditional love during their time of crisis.

Graduate Program:Offers 24 months of follow up for families who successfully complete our Emergency Shelter Program. It features practical resources, life skills, and peer mentoring.

Eviction Prevention/Move-In Assistance:Launched June 2020, this program serves
1) vetted families on the edge of homelessness who can feed into our Emergency Shelter Program as needed
2) our graduate families who could use help with move-in costs/deposits.

Outreach Development: Family Promise maintains a strong partnership with key city offices, emergency department and school districts who can recommend families to our program. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale allow school-age children to have a safe place to be after school and each summer. Our strongest partnership is among the congregational community, whose traditional role is to provide overnight shelter, meals and endless compassion for a small group of families one week at a time. The Social Work Team nurtures relationships with local businesses who employ our families and inter-organizational partnerships assist graduate families with transitional and permanent housing.
