Mission: Family Service exists to strengthen people and communities through healing, mentoring and social engagement.

Results: Since 1956, Family Service Agency has been providing counseling and other essential services to DeKalb County. We are among the oldest, private nonprofit organizations in the area, and our programs have grown and adapted to changing community needs over the past half-century. Family Service Agency serves as an "umbrella agency" of five distinct community programs: Children’s Advocacy Center, Center for Counseling, Community Action Program, Senior Services and Youth Mentoring. We organize the efforts of many local agencies to provide the best care possible to our community. Family Service Agency strives to continually meet the ever-changing needs of the community. Our long-term goal is to become a national leader with other community agencies and services, through cooperation, coordination, and partnerships. Our first step in doing that is getting into a building with more space and the capacity necessary for that type of growth.
