Mission: FareStart provides a community that transforms lives by empowering homeless and disadvantaged men, women, and families to achieve self-sufficiency through life skills, job training and employment in the food service industry.

Founded in 1992, FareStart is a job training and placement program for both adults and youth. FareStart is a real solution to some of our society's most pressing challenges-homelessness, joblessness, poverty and hunger. Our model works because we are both an effective social service provider, and a thriving social enterprise.

FareStart is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1992, and donations are tax-deductible.
