Build quality is nice for the price but the real star of this tape measurer are the fraction markings on it. Gone are the days of making a mistake on a measurement by misreading! Highly recommend keeping a few of these around.

These tapes are mediocre. I really like the white color of the blade and the fractional read. I like the texture and width of the blade. But the case is sort of uniform in shape. I don’t even really feel the clip with I pick it up, and there are weird bulges in the black soft touch areas. Plus the hook doesn’t quite protrude from the bottom of the case enough. It is almost even with the bottom. Net-net I often pick up this tape and fumble to get it into the proper orientation and pull out the blade. I with the shape of the case has more indications so I could handle the tape without looking or fumbling. I don’t really like Stanley tapes, but I’ll say I don’t really have these kinds of fumbling issues. So it’s a mediocre tape, and not the first one on my workbench that I seem to reach for.

Very clear numbers making this very clear to read and I love the fact you can write measurements on the side of the tape measure on the white board.

I bought a total of two of the regular tapes and one Flatback. The whole concept of a right or left hand tapemeasure just seems so obvious. You can measure from either side of the board with equal ease. I particularly like the flat back one. In the future, I'd be tempted to replace all of my tapemeasures with flatback tapemeasures. UNFORTUNATELY, the imperial Flatback is priced at $24 where the metric one is priced at half that. If I had noticed ahead of time that the Flatback that is included in the 2 pack was metric I probably wouldn't have bought it. Since I already have it, I'm going to try and embrace the metric system. I really wish Americans had switched to metric back in the 80's when they promised us we were going to. Now I'm old and set in my ways. My brain just doesn't think in metric. So, good tape measures. Make sure you are O.K. with metric if you are buying a two pack.

What a great but simple change. Make the tape easily readable no matter what direction it's being used. Why isn't this standard on all tapes? 13143 Bobidosh Lake Lane in an onboard note pad and even a pencil sharpener ( which I only rarely use, and you have a real winner.

Not sure why all tape measure manufacturers haven't caught on to having both right and left handed markings on the tape. As a new woodworker who is just feeling his way along, this tape measure makes it a breeze to get accurate cuts. Extremely durable and affordable - you can't go wrong!

I ordered this tape because I am always using the regular ones the wrong way and feeling awkward. I have measured a few boards and made a few marks with this one and I finally feel like my hands are where they're supposed to be. The note pad on the side is handy. I have already decided it is a great feature. The pencil sharpener works, but doesn't leave the smoothest of points. It will come in very handy in a pinch though.

I love all the features and consistent with my other measurement tools. Love the sharpener, write-able face, readability, and known base width. Not a fan of the clip or the durability but for the price you can't beat it.

Love the 1/8th inch notation as well. Feels durable, getting used to the hold button on the bottom. Don't be cheap w/ a tool you're going to use a lot....slowly learning this.

I love these tape measures. I have now ordered several to make sure that one is always at hand. They are very easy to read, the markings are clear and precise, and the device feels good in the hand. Good to have when you need to make accurate measurements.

This tape is awesome. Nice and sturdy. The spring is strong the higher visibility color helps you find it. The pencil sharpener and write on face work well. My new favorite tape.
