My son LOVES this toy.. One of the best purchases! I bought this when he was 18 months old but he didn't show a huge interest until 21 months and he's obsessed. It's one of the few toys that's played with every day outside of his outdoor cozy coupe and step 2 ride on.. At first it was hard to line it up to stack but in the last few weeks he has learned so much. He can now stack them and also turn it to spin the gears off. It's fun watching him play and seeing how much this toy has taught him. The only negatives is that when he is done playing he leaves the gears laying around or all in the hallway for me to pick up and a couple has gotten lost but due to size they were easily found the same day. Also the base needs to be sturdier when he tries to put the gears on and gets frustrated that the base moves making it hard to put the gears on but he's learned to hold the base while putting the gears on so it's not much of an issue now but was quite a frustration to begin with. He has banged the plastic stick and slung gears and the quality is excellent. The plastic is super strong and does not bend. The gears are a strong plastic with a silicone type outer feel so it has a nice texture and the gears are nice and large with different type shapes. Very cool toy.. I have enjoyed playing with it with my son. It will hold his attention 20-30 minutes and for an almost 2 year old that is fantastic. I really think to get the most out of this toy it should be given to a toddler 18 months plus. My son started getting really into it the most recently around 21-22 months. Most toys will only hold his interest for a few minutes and haven't really taught him much so I consider this a fun therapy tool/toy as well.

This is my 3rd fat brain toy I???ve ordered in the last two weeks. This one is the most popular and my 2 year old grandson adores it. Very educational also because he is learning colors and sequencing. Love these toys!

I was a little hesitant to spend this much on a toy for infants; however, worry not friends! This has been one of my son's absolute favorite toys for almost a year now. It is very well constructed and has no sharp edges or poorly trimmed part lines. He throws the parts around, stomps on them, uses them to hit other toys, and has a great time. For teaching dexterity skills at a young age, this has been an amazing education tool as well.

I love the idea and how kids can work on fine motor and spin the wheels. The kids love the colors too! Only problem is the base can fall off when you lift it, dropping all of the wheels to the floor. It would be nice if the dowel was secured to the base.

Our son loves this. Great hand eye coordination training, and he has lots of fun putting them on and then dumping them off.

This is the funnest ring stacker out there! It captivates most children and encourages them to work on hand-eye coordination. It could, however, be improved. This version is a bit big. It's not very portable and doesn't fit in any toy cabinets. They make a smaller one, but the rings don't come off, so it's only eye candy; it doesn't help kids work on learning anything! Also, the stick falls out from the base easily and some kids try to turn it into a weapon. It would be nice if the stick and base were connected. --Early Intervention (birth to three special education) Teacher
