Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission:
Faunalytics empowers fellow animal advocates with access to the research, analysis, strategies, and messages that maximize their effectiveness to reduce animal suffering.

Results: Faunalytics strengthens the animal protection movement by addressing an important but often overlooked gap in the animal advocacy community: capacity building. The research and data we offer — including our original research program, direct support services, and the 4,500 study summaries housed in our research library — help the animal protection movement understand how people think about and respond to animal advocacy, so they can more effectively change people’s attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. In this way, Faunalytics educates animal advocates with the best strategies to inspire change for animalsWe distribute our resources via our weekly research alerts and our monthly newsletter, which are shared with over 5,000 subscribers. Additionally, more than 500,000 advocates access our research and educational resources through our website, social media, and direct outreach every year. As a research organization, we place an emphasis on using data to analyze our work. According to our most recent Community Survey, 84% of our audience agrees that our work is “extremely” or “very'' valuable to their advocacy efforts, 96% agreed that our work is high-quality, and 92% put our resources to concrete use; for example, by using our work to improve their advocacy materials or techniques. Our research has been featured or mentioned in Fast Company, Vox, New York Magazine, Readers’ Digest, The New York Times, Sentient Media, and many more national and international outlets. We have been named a “Standout Charity” by Animal Charity Evaluators since 2015, and we are a Guidestar Platinum nonprofit.
