Definite upgrade from original nut. Only problem I would point out is that the pre filed slots aren't big enough for standard 10-46 strings. I didn't want to pay a luthier, nor file them myself. I just used the bass strings as a file to get them to fit properly (treble strings were fine).

I had reservations when I saw the price, and I'm a slow hand player that primarly playes notes and "7" chords and no one will ever confuse me with Jimmy Page. But I said what the hell, this is going on my dream build Telecaster. I'm saying it's worth the money, Buy it, you will be glad you did.

I purchased this as a replacement for a 2001 Fender Tom Delonge Strat, which is a "Deluxe Series" guitar that was made in Mexico. Prior to this, I tried an Earvana nut which was far too tall and a TUSQ XL which was, once again, too tall & slightly too wide. On the other hand, the Fender Pre-Slotted Bone nut was a perfect fit and dropped right in - I didn't have to do any sanding and the string height is really close to where it should be. I would definitely recommend this as a direct replacement for a MIM Strat.

I am very pleased with this nut! It fit perfectly into my MIM Strat with only a very little sanding on the side of the nut and the string slots are perfect; I didn't have to file the string slots at all. Even though it mentions that this nut is a 7.25 radius and my MIM Strat is a 9.5 radius, I didn't notice any difference and all the strings seem to be the correct height off of the fingerboard and frets. I definitely recommend this nut as an excellent replacement for all plastic or stock nuts on Fender Stratocaster guitars. It's well worth the money.
