This is the first time I used a punch-down tool. The purpose for making holes to drill on a piece of MDF plywood it worked great.

This works great. It's a little hard to push down but I haven't adjusted the tension yet. Does the job.

Accurate for my needs. The handle knob keeps it from rolling around.

Have been using this item only on wood but so far it's been working great. You can adjust the tension in the spring by twisting the back to make the indentation deeper or shallow. I like the indentation which allows you to 1. Mark where your gonna drill or place a screw and 2. Gives you a bit of support to hold your drill bit.

I use this tool to punch a starter hole in a recessed light can and you can't drill without it, it's durable and powerful, it makes the job much easier

I purchased the version that has the one-handed spring impact center punch. I initially had my doubts about how well this would work, given that I had always used a center punch that you have to hit with a hammer to make the punch. I was absolutely blown away by the ease of use, accuracy, and consistent size of the punch mark created with this automatic center punch. Compared to a hammer-driven center punch, this automatics center punch is easier to use because it requires only one hand, freeing up your other hand. The size of the punch it creates is consistent and repeatable. It is also easier to make the punch in the desired place because you don't have the risk of the hammer causing a glancing blow that moves the tip of the center punch.

Bought to use as a normal punch to drill holes in sheet metal tubing, but it performed double duty staking an AR15 castle nut. No complaints.

Used one for years with out the rubber end. The new Neiko center punch is even better, the rubber end makes it easier on your hand or palm. Good product.

Bought it for one purpose only, very easy to do. Worked perfect. Save your money taking it to the shop and learn to do it yourself. For $10. Would buy again.

Great little tool for starter holes for drilling in wood or metal. Also awesome for hanging pictures and marking the wall for your anchor.
