I neede this and didn't have it so I went 2 hardware store got what I needed and paid way to much for it. I got this for next time and don't wast my money. It also comes in a nice storage box that I like cause when u use and put away U can see at a glance that something is not there and U better find it.

I have not used these yet. I got them as a 'spare' set for use in the basement. Although I have not used them, they look to be of a decent quality for the price.

It's handy to have a full set together and the box is well laid out. I got if because I have 2 shops 40 miles apart so this allows me to have an affordable tap die set at each. I primarily use them to clean up already threaded pieces.

Well made set of taps and dies.I work with a lot of different things on the ranch and a lot of the equipment is fairly old so I've had to rethread or chase the threads to clean everything up. Just remember to use a lot of oil so that the tools will work their best.

HORUSDY 40-Piece SAE Tap and Die Set, Inch Sizes for Coarse and Fine Threads Tool with Storage Case.I purchased the set to re-dress threads that have been damaged or cross threaded. On occasion I will need to re-tap a stripped thread to next size up to salvage the damaged item.

You can't go wrong with this kit. It comes with both male and female set up's so i can fine thread one side of a couple while course threading the inside of the same coupler.The only con I have is the threader to create a female end, the twist tool, well the bit consistently falls apart.

I've used tap and die sets that were tighter tolerance and made of significantly heavier materials - both the tools and holders, and the taps and dies themselves...and costing many times this product's price. This set is not meant to be a machine shop staple. I'd had an inexpensive metric set for many years but needed an SAE for a Christmas go kart 'rebuild', primarily restoring stripped or damaged threads and chasing threaded holes and nuts. These worked well for this job, though you want to take your time. Having both coarse and fine choices was a real plus.This set is sold by multiple vendors here typically varying only in the color of the case. I'm quite pleased with this version and the service they provided.

They are not heavy duty dies (you get what you pay for), but they work well for smaller projects. I used to re-thread support lugs for my drum kit hardware. I give it 5 stars because it work perfectly for my intent of purchase.
