Used this to tap a manifold gasket bolt hole on my Jeep CJ. Worked great and held up well.

I've used tap and die sets that were tighter tolerance and made of significantly heavier materials - both the tools and holders, and the taps and dies themselves...and costing many times this product's price. This set is not meant to be a machine shop staple. I'd had an inexpensive metric set for many years but needed an SAE for a Christmas go kart 'rebuild', primarily restoring stripped or damaged threads and chasing threaded holes and nuts. These worked well for this job, though you want to take your time. Having both coarse and fine choices was a real plus.This set is sold by multiple vendors here typically varying only in the color of the case. I'm quite pleased with this version and the service they provided.

They are not heavy duty dies (you get what you pay for), but they work well for smaller projects. I used to re-thread support lugs for my drum kit hardware. I give it 5 stars because it work perfectly for my intent of purchase.

This set is hands down, the best value on any tool set that I've bought. This set has all the standard taps and dies you'll ever need, it even has a plumbing fitting tap...thank you.

I was able to save one custom pin with one end that is threaded. Was able to use the 3/6X16 to fix the threads. That saved my enough money to already pay for this whole set.It was like getting this set free plus a few more dollars in my pocket.If you need to fix or clean up threads, this is a great starter set.I attached a picture of the pin that I saved with this tool.

I don't like how loose the tap wrench is to the tap, as well as the die socket is to the actual die but other than that everything's pretty good. As a whole, the tool has paid for itself and does its job.

This is a tap and die set that's got everything. I just purchased it for the smallest tap/die. It worked well. Nice case. Arrived in just a couple of days. Excellent value ... Now I have a very complete set for my shop. Highly recommended. I particularly like the thread sizer device.

I was searching for something that had a fine thread so I could fix a part on my motorcycle, after powder coating. It is really hard to find just fine thread tap and die. This was perfect. I gave my son my old course thread kit and now have everything I need in a easy carry box.
