good for chasing old threads and cleaning them out but not durable enough to make new ones

They got the job done - although as you might expect getting this many taps for this much money, they probably have a more limited lifetime. The overall look of construction seems to indicate a cheaper construction.

Heads up, the 3/4 tap in my set was unusable. Never should have made it past quality control. The other five taps are okay and look like they will work. I have contacted Horusdy but since they are an Australian company I don't really expect much.Update: Customer service got back to me the same day I contacted them and offered a replacement. Very impressed AAAA rating on the customer service.
