Purchased this as a direct replacement for an existing detector in an RV. The mounting plate pattern as pictured in the product description was an exact match to the detector being replaced. The pattern on the product was correct once I removed a 2nd plate that was attached on top of the plate that matched my installation. Everything worked great

It is very sensitive and at times irritating, BUT...it is very needed since it is near the kitchen in my RV. It goes off every time I use the toaster so I press the button to shut it up. HOWEVER, I would not have it any other way. I will buy it again and again. RVs are put together with paper and glue so I am glad to have this very sensitive smoke detecter.

This was an exact replacement for the one we had in our RV that somehow fell off the ceiling and landed on the top of our slide without us realizing it. It got destroyed when we opened the slide! Easy to replace it with this one! Very satisfied!

Excellent replacement in our camper. Very important for camper that has propane fired heater. Also one that has internal or external generator. This one is installed in bedroom and is a great piece of mind while sleeping. Well worth the money and very happy with this purchase!!

I was expecting a little more than a date code of May 2018..but it was a perfect match to my old one in my RV. No modification needed. Item made in Mexico. The surprise was it came with a 10 year lithium battery (China). While it wasn’t connected, I wonder how long the battery will last? First Alert assured me the date code was OK. That it goes by the date you first turn it on, not when made. Replace in 7-10 years from date you first turn it onThis is for First Alert smoke detectors.

This smoke detector was an exact replacement for one that had failed in my RV. The original had lasted for seven years so I have similar hopes for this one. We shall see.

Easy replacement for my old Dometic CO detector in my 2005 Airstream. I was able to use one of the holes from the old backing plate with the new backing plate but had to drill a new second hole. My old unit used a 9V battery, and this one uses two AA Batteries.
