We use this to feed 3 koi in a home pond; they get three small feeds separated by 15 minutes so that they have time to eat and it doesn't all end up in the screen. Easy to program. Seems that the amount dispensed is accurate. We don't leave it outside for more than a few days at a time when we are away from home so I can't yet speak to the durability over time/in weather.

This is the second one I've purchased. The controls on the first one just completely stopped working. The only reason I purchased a another is that it's the only one that's small enough to accommodate a small KOI pond. I'm still not satisfied with the performance but I'm making it work.

I keep my koi indoors during the harsh winters, and this feeder works fine with the pelletized food I use. I've had no issues with it, and it works reliably. Other buyers who use this feeder outdoors have concerns about rodents accessing the feeder's contents, and some have posted ways to address this, but for indoor use, I can say the feeder itself is nicely made and works well.

I've had it running for a month to test it before we left on vacation and it's been flawless.I first just had it sitting on a counter in the house and let it run for a few days into a bowl so I could measure the daily amount of food dischargedTo be honest, at first look when I opened the box it seemed cheaply made but it can be programed for up to 3 feedings a day and the amount of food discharged can be adjusted and could be programed perfectly for the amount of koi I have.I checked it every time it was set to discharge food and it never failed to be on time.I've since been gone for 10 days and the koi remained well fed

After reading the reviews, we decided to put this in a covered bucket as it would be in an area that gets no shade. It was fairly easy to set up. It's a bit of a pain to get it out of the bucket to turn it on and off as we only use it when we're gone. It's easy to refill. We suspended ours over our pond to avoid the raccoon problems others mentioned.

Unit seems sturdy and reliable ... easy enough to setup ... had to build a protective enclosure to protect against critters as others have. Seems a little pricey, but couldn't find anything else with same features.

I just got this feeder so the review may change. It feels of good quality, but per other reviewers recommendations, I built a housing for in in a bucket, since I have a lot of wildlife nearby. The digital controls are a little confusing to understand, but not impossible. Today was the first day it fed the fish. I have 22 koi so I'm using the frequent feeder mode but it seems like too little food per feeding. I don't want to feed only three times a day, the volume would be too much per feeding. I wish there was a way to choose more than 3 feedings with a larger amount than the frequent feeder option. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

I have had it a short time. It's been splashed with water and seems to be water proof. The test will be when it rains. Programming took a while to figure it out but once you do it's much easier. It's just right for my 1 k gallon pond and has been great!

Great feeder. I couldn't keep the raccoons away. My final attempt at deterrence ended with a raccoon prying the feeder off it's bolts and stealing the entire feeder! Here it is inside a box I made with PVC over the nozzle. Food rolls down into the pond and the raccoons go hungry.

I'm on my second feeder over the last 10 years. I keep the entire feeder dry and out of the weather by using an old plastic container from kitty litter to cover the fish feeder with a small cut out for the spout. No problems for years.............then.... one day..... the green spout unexpectedly popped off and ALL the food dumped into the pond. I thought I'd netted out all of the excess food.... but I guess I didn't. Over night 24 of my 2 foot koi died from lack of oxygen. What a heart ache Here's a tip......... glue the spout so it doesn't pop off unexpectedly. Use silicone or plastic cement. There is only a tiny clip holding the spout from falling off. I simply want to prevent anyone from experiencing the same disaster. All In all...this feeder works well.

Product worked great. Mounted to bulkhead at NC outer banks beach house. Fish attracted to feeder within the 1st week of installation. Had a mishap with a wild horse who knocked feeder off mounting studs. Contacted Manufacturer to purchase replacement base. Instead they sent me a new base free of charge...Now that's customer service!!!

The timer and motor operation works well. It provides the programmed proportion at the programmed time which is great. But even with the suggested mount to a board the food bin itself it is too easily knocked off of the base sending an entire load of food into your pond or near the pond for critters to feast. There are various solutions reviewers have worked with bungees and so on. My feeling is for the price I should not have to go through solutions which the company could have figured out. How difficult would it be for example to have a way to lock the food bin to the motor stand? The fact that it just sits in the base is ridiculous. Also one of the flaps that lock the bin cover to the bin broke on first use.
