what I like:- Great for general use (I use this to create documents, images, and surf web..)- Large HD screen/display- has leg strips keeping it up off of direct surfaces- easy to set up and navigate- keyboard has blacklight (and will turn off by itself if keyboard is not in use)- keyboard is very responsive and has a pleasant smooth feel to the buttons- sleek design- pretty lightweight for the size- features several ports (3 usb, mic/headphone, charging port, hdmi, and Rj45)- also features a number pad on the right side, which is definitely a plus if you do work that requires a lot of number typing- good battery life and sound qualityPossible Cons:- I find myself pressing the wrong buttons on the key pad and mouse pad, because it is a little different than my other laptops (mouse pad has no defined left or right click button)- mouse pad is more towards the left, making this probably a better laptop for a left handed personoverall happy with this laptop so far, will report/ update if i have anything else to add or experience any issues!

We got this for general use (surfing, movies, games, music, etc.) and overall it's a nice laptop and works well for our purposes. Setup took some time with updates and setting up options but it was simple and walked you through it step by step.Graphics are nice on it. Build quality is solid, not too bulky, a little heavy. Sound quality is okay. I'd like a little more volume but the clarity is just fine on it. Don't have any issues with battery, it running hot or loud.Keyboard on it is great.

This is not a heavy duty computer, but all I needed it for was school which it worked out perfect for.

Love this laptop, quick enough for internet browsing. Solid amount of storage for the size. Long battery life, very impressed with it thus far

Great screen quality, good speed for most activities, terrible battery life (it lasts about a 45 minutes now with full battery after a few months of using it), and can't handle most games.

This is my 3rd Acer computer. My last one was starting to slow down (but it was 9 years old) so decided to get a new one.I use it for very basic stuff, like email, financial budgeting, browsing travel sites, etc. For what I use it for, there wss no need to spend a fortune. This fit the bill.I'm happy with my purchase.

This computer is a good computer for the price, use for web surfing, email, normal use. Very glad I decided on this computer, works very well. I have a ACER Desk Top, I've owned for 5 yrs, still works and functions great. Only issue with laptop is battery does not last seven (?) hours as stated in product description. The battery life is more like 5 or 5 hours on a full charge based on how much and what you are working on. I do not use it plugged in as I know that will reduce effectiveness of battery life. I would give it a 4 star rating. Times as Battery winds down: 11:04am 97, 12:27pm 77, 1:49pm 57, 2:48pm 44, during this time I had 3 windows open, one playing Podcast. Still a great little laptop for the price.

Having more or less destroyed my hearing in the 70s and 80s the rest of my life will be plagued by tinnitus. Lots of electronic sound machines out there but the Dohm is the most satisfying and peaceful sound I have come across. I have worm out two of them and now have a black one to go better with the dcor in the bedroom. I rated it down a bit for travel because, well, the thing is huge in your suitcase. But no matter I take it anyway. I have one in the wife's suitcase and in mine so we are safe from noisy hotel rooms and the dreaded TOO quiet tinnitus nights.

Great computer for price, but definitely needs added storage

Great laptop until it wasn't! The right hinge pulled apart exposing wires. I did NOT drop it!! I call ACER customer service where I was met by a very offensive man that blatantly accused me of dropping it. My only recourse was to mail it to them at my expense to fix and at that time they would determine if it was negligence or not. I would have to pay for everything out of pocket If they found it to be my fault. I didn't want to play their game. The impression I got was don't bother lady. I had no idea what they would charge. I was at their mercy. I will never buy an ACER again.

So after having this laptop for exactly 1 year and a half it finally tapped out on me. Here’s the thing if you need it for school and browsing the web (several tabs no problem still fast) it’s absolutely perfect. Screen is nice and big so it also works really well to watch your favorite programs. But the downside is the plastic on this laptop is not durable. My problem began a few months ago when a tiny part of the plastic broke on the right bottom corner of the screen. From then on it slowly got worse and worse until it spread to the other side and the laptop couldn’t even hold up its own weight anymore! Nevertheless I still liked it because it did what I needed it to do. But the last 2 months of use it I have needed to prop something heavy behind the screen to hold it up because otherwise it just falls and breaks even more. Anyway when I was trying to fix the sockets that popped out of place I guess a wire that was exposed ripped or something because the screen no longer turns on sadly. The keyboard and light still turns on when I press the power button. Regardless this laptop did not last me that long so even though I was debating on reordering I don’t think it was a smart investment. If you plan on getting this for all the things i liked about it above then go for it! But please please be careful when opening/closing or just handling it in general because otherwise your in for a slow fall into what happened with me. Cheers! (Also I do blame the failure on this laptop mostly on myself but it is only like 400$ so the materials you pay for come in the laptop durability)

I love everything about this machine! What is very helpful for me is the lit keyboard when using. Great benefit to me.I don't do gaming so can't comment on issues pertaining to that. With that said, I did switch out of S so I could get the apps that I use daily.It's very light and easy to carry around.Battery lasts a long time, but haven't measured it,For my use, and probably most others also, I had to buy more ram. 4gig isn't nearly enough. I now have 16gig. I also bought a 1T hdd. It's a barracuda and is very quiet.I have another laptop that is nice, but not anywhere close to the resolution this one has. People may have to adjust that for eyesight.This is just a thumbs up and I'm glad I bought it!

This is a great laptop for anything but newer games. (It plays the older ones fine but lacks the RAM to do anything that's very demamding.) Works great for school and business, though.

I like the fast start up and processing times. Works really well. Don't like the small storage space, will need to look into an upgrade. Don't like the Caps lock key that has no light on it. There is no way to tell if you have the Caps on or off. Maybe there is something broken.

I got this laptop as a supplement to the desktop I already own- essentially no gaming, only web browsing and office use. My favorite thing about this laptop was how easy it was to upgrade the memory and storage, as it was pretty underspeced on both fronts out of the box.

I saw a couple review giving really low ratings because it's on microsoft s mode. You can turn safe mode off. Overall this laptop was tood

Originally bought it for personal use, but with a little capacity and memory upgrade, it's a great piece of tech. Very responsive, short boot times, apps load quickly. Absolutely recommend.

It has all of the options I was looking for in a lower end computer. I added an additional stick of ram and intend on adding the 1 TB drive at a later date. It is super easy to work on. So far it has met my expectations and the price was where it needed to be for my budget.
