You will not go wrong w this device. Add an 8gig ddr4 sodimm 2400mhz yourself to it and youre good to go. Back lid opens easily. And do remove Windows S. It doesnt fly and isnt for gaming but will do everything else quite well.

I'm not a gamer but this laptop does allow me to work efficiently. I'm a realtor and work mostly from home. I don't download games or pictures to my laptop. I deal with several different websites for work. We do a lot of documents and photos with Dropbox. The laptop is small and perfect for travel. I work long hours so it stays charged about 7 hrs. Good enough for my work and $500 worth the price. Would recommend this laptop and purchase again.

I like this computer i went by the reviews since so many people liked it. the only issue i have is upgrading the hard drive and memory to run The Sims 4 with all packs and Mods is my main issue with the laptop. The fact that all of my sims 4 packs took up most of the space is big. It takes a few to load the game but playing is worth it. I am upgrading it for sure so i can use it not just for gaming on sims but for school as well.

I've had this laptop for 3 years and it still works very well. Slowed down a bit, but that's expected.

Made the purchase to have a new computer for our son (10yrs old) for the coming school year. It does everything he needs it to do. I have had an Acer before and was always satisfied with it.

I bought one for my 5th grader during virtual learning because I was sick of them using the tiny screen of the Chromebook. It was a game changer in terms of getting work done. Plenty powerful for school work, streaming, light video editing. I have just purchased a second one - about a 1.5 years later- for my other child.

This Notebook is fast, sturdy and it looks funky. However, .....Every boot, you are required login to the windows. The password field, keep typing and this is non-stopping. I need to type Backspace button until it stopped. Some weird behavior while using windows (I used 10 but it is upgradable to 11 which I don't like no Drap N Drop function), it intermittenly backspacing.... You type at word, it suddenly keep backspacing... You open a session of browser (since it keep cancel your job), the session is keeping closed.After quite a long time obersvation and diagonsis, I found it is due to the USB interface.I used USB external (KeyboardMouse)'s combo, sometimes I use 1-for-many USB hub connecting all say (headset, keyboard, mouse together) for a USB port. I figured out the above weird behavior will be gone if you remove all usb connection. It's not gorgerous nor magnificient, after all, it's frustrating. I tried not to use USB Hub by conecting each 1-by-1. It's seem better, but if you use a combo of KeyboardMouse, the bad situation is rejuvenated again. Now, I-to-1 usb connection, 1 for mouse and 1 for keyboard. It's fine.May I advise Acer to look at this issue and provide some USB driver update asap to resolve the above issues?Thanks.

It's a good laptop for the price. I just needed to remove S mode and some softwares and then that made the laptop is perfect

Worth it for the price

I've purchased two of these - one for me and one for my son to game on. We've had them for nearly three years and they work great. For a basic laptop that you can run games on and stream video, this is perfect. However, I'm most impressed at how well it's held up to the abuse that my kid dishes out. It's been dragged on multiple road trips and gets used all over the house. I bought it not expecting to get nearly 3 years out of it as a basic device and the only reason I got this and not a Chromebook is because you cannot run Minecraft on a Chromebook. If it stops working tomorrow, I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

Acer should not use the MediaTek Wifi card, its driver has issue very often.The problem of this WIFI card doesn't work with 5G WIFI channel; right now, its only works with 2.4G.I bought two Acer laptops at the same time, both of them have the same issue.When I googled its driver, other brand like Asus and Lenovo also have issue with this MediaTek Wifi Card.Turned out I bought an AX210 Wifi card to replace this crap, and then it works prefect!
