All the features I need in a budget laptop, only thing missing is MS Office, but that seems to be a Microsoft issue.

I bought this purely for taking online college courses and only expected to use it for internet browsing and Microsoft Office products but I have been pleasantly surprised by how powerful this computer is. I downloaded Steam just for kicks and installed some of my older games - this laptop plays a lot of older titles like Half-Life 2, Dawn of War, Mass Effect, Medieval: Total War, and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl etc at maximum settings with high framerates, and without bursting into flames. Who would have thought from a laptop with just integrated graphics? Also: the screen quality is excellent, full HD 1920x1080 with good color and a nice finish with no glare. The speakers are pretty good too! Long battery life, and good build quality - it feels solid with a nice metal frame, but not heavy at all. Only downside is limited HD space, but it comes with a mounting bracket to install a second HD inside, which I plan on doing. Overall, this is an incredible value if you're looking to do internet browsing, Blackboard, light gaming and streaming movies or TV.

First thing I did was get rid of S mode. Then I put in a 1 TB hard drive, and a 1TB SSD and installed more ram, so I have 8gb instead of 4gb. All that cost maybe $150. I also installed Windows 11 which runs like a dream. I love the laptop. It is very fast on startup, and have the most beautiful screen. Colors are unbelievable. Startup time is at most 30 seconds. I got several friends to buy one also. I think this is my all-time favorite computer ever, my first was a VIC 20. I highly recommend this laptop. Delivery was extremely fast. Like 2 days. I paid $420 in June of 2021. Current price is about $366. Get One you won't be sorry.

I've been using this for months. With a few easy upgrades this is a solid choice and will punch way above its weight!

I bought this notebook on the 6th of July. I have been using every day. I never owned a notebook, so wasn't sure what to expect. Do not hesitate to buy this product. I am very impressed w the price tag and performance. The screen quality is excellent. Very sturdy and reliable. Very happy w this purchase.

Our old laptop died one afternoon... dead hard drive. I ordered the Acer at 7:00 pm and it was delivered at 5:30 the next morning. About two hours to set it up, transfer files, etc. and it was good to go! The SS Drive makes it quick and responsive, and so far Windows 11 has been well behaved, Nice little machine for the money.

It lasted 5 weeks and then the display went out.

Computer came with s mode basically means worthless.

Authors of that software found easy and efficient way to get additional money from customers/buyers of ACERsTo remove that software customer should pay once per year around $20 ...What is that? ... It's stupid and greedy ....It's humiliating seller and producer of good and contemporary compBecause of that I will be forced to return comp for full refund ....

...but I absolutely DESPISE Windows 11 and this laptop came with it already installed. I waste so much time tracking down documents I've downloaded and nothing about 11 is at all intuitive or logical. I don't appreciate my time when working being wasted on dumb stuff and Windows 11 can pretty much be summed up that way: DUMB STUFF.The laptop itself is great, clear screen, quick, fun to use. I work from home, multiple jobs always, and so my laptops get heavy use. My last one, ASUS, began showing signs of decline after a little over 2 years, which is pretty fast even with my workload, and I wasn't happy having to spend the money for a new one this soon, but I'm happy with my Acer so far (I've had it or about 2 months).Just please TELL ME IT'S POSSIBLE TO GET RID OF WINDOWS 11!!!

for the price this laptop has been great. I am not a gamer or anything other than use for email, shopping and some light work apps. It has worked perfectly.

Great laptop for the price, I don't think you can find a laptop this great at this price point. Appearance looks great, great build quality, keyboard does not at all feel cheap at all and the keyboard backlight is a great touch. Very lightweight. Touch pad is large and responsive. I have not tried the fingerprint scanner yet. Decently fast boot up times given it has an SSD. Battery life is actually pretty great, too. I am happy with the ports, it even has a USB C port. Screen gets very bright.It also took about 5 minutes to put in an 8GB ram stick in the easily accessible and open ram slot.Some cons of course since this is a budget laptop (these cons can be considered normal at this price point): - Full HD display with 1080P screen, however the color quality, especially blacks and other colors is not great. It feels like white is overwhelming compared to other colors. But otherwise at this price point it is OK in my opinion, just that there is a very noticeable difference compared to my 700 dollar laptop.- CPU kind of sucks. I added 8 GB of ram which did make the computer faster, but downloading things or loading times can be slow with the CPU being the issue. However it is tolerable and I am overall happy with the speed for this price point and do not feel I have to crutch on my other high end laptops.- The acer 5 series is usually marketed as slim, but this laptop is definitely not slim. It isn't bulky though, I think it is very average or more in thickness compared to actual slim laptops on the market.If you have 330 dollars only to spend and are on a tight budget, don't hesitate to get this laptop. If you do purchase this laptop, I would DEFINITELY recommend adding additional ram (I got 8GB ram for 25 bucks at microcenter) since it is super easy to upgrade the ram in this computer, and it made a noticeable difference in browsing, loading, scroll speeds. If you have an additional 100 dollars more to spend, I would go ahead and purchase a more expensive laptop for a better screen, and the next price-tier laptops usually have additional ram.

This came with Windows 10 but I was able to upgrade to Windows 11 for free after enough system updates.

Used for work. Lots of programs downloaded on it and they all run great.

This is the least expensive computer I've ever owned, and I am very pleased with its performance. Probably this means that I've been buying more than I really need in a computer. This bargain computer does email, word processing, online purchasing, and video streaming very well. No problems with the trackpad like I had with my most recent computer. I am glad to have found this!

It has a plug for my external monitor, a plug for ext. speakers, a USB c for my DVD drive, USB for my ext. keyboard mouse and two other USB plugs and Windows 11.Windows 11 is not compatible with my printer or DVD drive; you have to download software.
