I've never written a review before, but I just had to express my gratitude for the creators of Thera-band. For several months now, I've been unable to play guitar due to "guitar elbow" - Rest, Ice, and Advil helped a little, but the pain ALWAYS came back. I worked with the green thera-band 3 times a day for a week, and was able to play guitar today with significantly reduced pain, it can only get better as I continue to work with the thera-band!

I have been to a number of local sports and retail stores and none could match the price and quality of this product. I am using it for one of my at-home physical therapy exercises to recover my loss of strength following a "cervical spine discectomy with fusion" operation. It has met my expectations 100%.

I ordered a red and green theraflex last month because i read all the positive reviews about this product for tennis elbow sufferer. I was thinking to give it a try because my tennis elbow was not getting any better since last Oct. I tiried almost everything to make it feel better icing, wrist and elbow exercises and even ultrasound because i have an access to an ultrasound machine being a Physical Therapist myself. None of those treatment worked for me untill i started using a red theraflex. My tennis elbow felt a lot better now after 1 wk of theraflex exercises i was doing 2x per day, 50reps each exercises. I can swing my tennis racket now for 15 mins both backhand and forehand without any discomfort. I also wear an epicondylitis clasp i bought separately everytime i play. Thanks to this amazing product, i highly recommend it.

I bought this for painrelief in the forearm. It seemed to work over time with use. I also have used it to reduce foot arch pain but still like the tennis ball better for that. Green might be a little stiff to work if you are on the weak side or if in pain. It will be harder to twist so you might want to start with the red.

I was getting depressed because I thought I would have to give up tennis which I have been enjoying for 15 years (45 now). Had tendonitis on both arms for 5 months. 2 weeks with the Flexbar and it's almost gone. Only hurts immediately after playing but by the next day the pain is gone. I used the red for 1 week, the green for the 2nd week and I am now starting the 3rd week with the blue. When the red arrived the pain was so bad I could barely twist it even though my 11 year old can twist it easily. Within a week, the red was too easy. The green was tough and still caused some discomfort. Now after a week of that, the green is soooo easy and no pain. Started the blue yesterday and I can do with almost negligible discomfort. The inventor of this product deserves a medal.

My physical therapist introduced this device to me. It worked well enough on my tennis elbows that I decided to buy one for home. It really seems to work.

This is a product I 100% support. I used this extensively during physical therapy, and I attribute a lot of my recovery from tennis elbow to the Flex Bar. Kudos do the designer -- it changed my life, or at least got it back to normal.

I have been suffering from tennis elbow for about 2 years and it is not only one elbow but both. After working preparing IV's in a big hospital, dealing with large syringes, opening vials and boxes, my elbows started getting sore and inflammed. I have already received 5 shots of cortisone and the last one was 3 weeks ago on my right elbow. After my 4th shot, I promissed to myself that I would never have any other injection in my elbow because I have been afraid from the side effects (which I had a couple of times) and the risk of tendon rupture. I am a physician assitant student in a osteopathic school and I have even tried manipulations but still it did not work. After removing snow from my car for about 5 days in a row, my right elbow started getting red and swollen, the pain was getting worse and worse up to a point that I could not bend my elbow anymore. The joint and the tendon were as stiff as a rock. I decided that there was not other option than getting a shot again which I did. Twelve days later the inflammation was pretty much reduced, the pain was better but I still could not bend my elbow more than 80 degrees which was very frustating specially when you are a fulltime student, need to carry a backpack and need to write (the right elbow was the one affected). I decided to try something else and I saw the flexbar and all the comments that everybody posted (pretty good in the vast majority). It has been 7 days that I have been using the red bar and I can tell you that from a 80 degrees I can already touch my ear lobes and do other tasks that were impossible due to the pain and the tendon stiffness. I am already treating the other elbow which hurts a little, to see how much better it can get. In addition I have been using the elbow braces to avoit hurting the elbows when lift something heavier. I will update in the future and let you guys know how my elbows are. So far it has been a great purchase and I wish I had bought this product before. It has helping me a lot for sure.

My physical therapist instructed me to use the red therabar for my stretches. So far, my elbow pain has diminished somewhat. I can't really tell if it is because of the exercises or the massages that I have been getting at the occupational therapy department. These days, I am no longer waking up with elbow pain. My therapist highly recommend the red bar to strengthen my elbow tendons.

I purchased this Theraband as a new item, but it appeard to be used. I paid about $15 for it. My physical therapist said a new one cost about $30. It didn't have the firmer flexibility that I expected it to and it was worn/frayed a bit on one end. I am still using it, and probably would have bought the cheaper version used if it had been advertised as such. Not happy that it was not new.

The Green version was the right size and strength. I'm noticing an improvement in my tennis elbow after only a week of using the flex bar.

I had Rotator cuff surgery and this was one of the tools in Physical Therapy. It works great for shoulder therapy. I use it a few times a day and it has helped strengthen my shoulder. I would definitely recommend this product.

Theraband FlexBar - Blue - A18225 03I feel like this is truly worthy of review. I have been an active, competitive tennis player since the 80's (I am in mid 40's) and have had some degree of elbow pain the entire time. While I could usually work through it with aspirin/Advil/ice and resting the arm, recently it became so bad that I had to quit playing for over a month. The elbow felt like it was on fire, very sharp and burning pain was almost non stop, even after not playing for couple weeks. Everyone told me it was either my strings or my racquet. Someone I play with had just come back from elbow problems and told me about this product and had also used the blue one.I could tell within couple days that the pain was almost gone. Doing the tyler twist exercise daily has made my elbow pain almost completely go away.If your elbow pain is limiting your activity, you really owe it to yourself to check this out. The price is low and the results will come. No need for surgery, or roids, etc...If your elbow hurts, buy this now, and end the frustration of sitting out while your buds all play!!

Just a note to say how much the arthritic gloves are helping decrease the pain in my hands. I wish I knew about them years ago. The theraband bar is fantastic. It keeps my tennis elbow in shape. Now I only have to use it about 5 times twice a day instead of 15.

Works well, as described. They have a bit less resistance than I expected, but I didn't try to measure the force required.
