My MIL has progressive frontal lobe dementia is quickly forgetting everyday tasks especially anything to do with electronics (even the most basic things). She had completely lost her ability to navigate basic TV operation (standard remotes were causing a meltdown). We were able to quickly program this remote and it is HUGE success!! She has been able to recapture a skill and it has given her back something she enjoys! We purchased an additional 2 units to upfit all the televisions. This was an amazing purchase which gave a priceless gift!

There's a huge struggle with ederly looking for things. Specially remote controls that blend in with furniture. This device allows everyone to know where the control is and helps limit my grandma to choose the correct buttons. I get no more phone calls about how the TV doesn't work anymore. Super helpful! And it's hella cool that the other buttons are hidden

This product was so simple to set up for my 92 year old mom. None of the codes in the book related to my mom's TV worked but I was able to use the Code Search feature and found the code using that. Now she has one remote that works her Spectrum cable box and her TV. I still am trying to figure out how to put in her favorite channels so she doesn't have to go thru all her available channels. I would definitely recommend this.

Dad had a super complex tv system before with amplifier, tv, and satellite controls. With the progression of his Alzheimer's there came a day when he could no longer use complicated controls. After a lot of trial and error I found this device. It works perfectly. It can be programmed for the tv plus the satellite box. Just follow the instructions that come with the remote to code in your system. also someone else mentioned a way to disable the function to turn off the box versus the tv. I did that and it worked like a charm. I would recommend that step. I did have to remove the amplifier/ surround sound from the mix, but the TV sound was sufficient for his needs. The simple buttons on the controller make it much easier for him to at least turn the TV on/ off and control volume. The satellite box stays on full time (see above comment about disabling the on/off for the box). The TV is set to his favorite channel and no longer can he use the guide function but that is ok. The guide would just confuse him anyway. Occasionally he surfs channels, somewhat cumbersome but still much better than before. This was a godsend. Prior to using this I'd talk to him daily about how his tv was not working, for about 2-3 weeks. He'd accidentally press buttons on his previous controllers. This controller makes things much easier for him.

We got this for hubby's mum, who is very low vision and not tech savvy (she listens to the tv). The cable company remote control is too complicated for her and she hate's to ask us to turn on her tv (she lives with us). The Flipper is much simpler (only 4 main controls, numeric key pad hidden) and very simple to set up - it took us less than 5 minutes to set up both the set top box and the tv. Now she can turn the tv on and off, which gives her a little more independence.

Unfortunately this remote only supports IR (InfraRed) and not RF (RadioFrequency) devices. My Dad's Comcast box (Pace XG2v2v-P) only has RF and does not provide an IR option that can be enabled in the box settings menu. Would be nice if manufacture provided detailed box Manufacturer and Model list that are supported. Would have saved me time and saved them from receiving an open/used remote for refund.

Mom was calling me a few times a week because she would accidentally hit the input button on her old remote. This remote works perfectly, haven't received a phone call about her TB not working since I gave her the Flipper.

Took about 5 min to program. I have no idea why so many say it's hard to program. I can't comment on longevity yet. You can't press a wrong button. So far so good.

This was bought for my 80 yr. Old Father. A regular remote was too small for his arthritic hands plus, all the buttons were confusing him and then he would get frustrated with the T.V. and the remote. This was a godsend!! It is simple and has large buttons to push. Therefore, no more yelling at the t.v. and remotes getting thrown, but the best was not having to fix the t.v. all the time. VERY easy to use!

It's unusual to purchase a product that does exactly what it says it will do, without b.s..Programming was ridiculously easy. We have Direct TV, a 'hearing impaired' soundbar, and an LG tv.All set up easily. My wife is in love with the Flipper. Only thing it doesn't do is have the 'Guide' function, but understand a future version may have that. Not a problem for us. Will most likely buy another for our guest room.

Regular TV remotes have too any buttons and small print which makes it hard and confusing for older people and those with memory problems. This remote is fail proof. Only 6 buttons with easy to read print: Off/On, Mute, Channel up/down and volume up/down. Colorful and there's a slide feature that covers the number buttons. It took me extra time to find the correct codes to work the channel function. I had to look them up online. You can also pre-program channels or program favorites so your loved one doesn't have to search thru so many channels.Keep a copy of the codes to program TV taped to remote or inside battery compartment.

My 92 year old mom kept messing up her old remote by hitting the wrong buttons. Not any more! Works great on her Philips TV. Set up was easy. She does not have a cable box or VCR.
