Mission: Forever Captain Poodaman! The Ahmad Butler Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization on a mission to support the needs of Children with cancer and other life threatening diseases, while aiding in the improvement of their quality of life.

Results: Because, there is no cure for cancer and other Childhood diseases as of yet. ABF creates "WONDERFUL DISTRACTIONS" for the Superhero Kids we serve, and their families! These distractions are diversions that bring a ray of sunshine to these AWESOME families in the midst of their storm! That is how you FIGHT cancer and other Childhood diseases. You create BEAUTIFUL memories, by living and enjoying life, when, and as much as you can! Forever Captain Poodaman! The Ahmad Butler Foundation is proud to carryout our mission. Programs: ABF’s Covid Relief Program - provided much needed groceries and toiletries to over 400 needy families coping with Childhood cancer. And stocked the pantries of Ronald McDonald House and St Christopher’s Hospital for Children. ABF’s Socially Distance Parade- ABF Volunteers partnered with PPD, PA National Guard, The Mummers String Band Association, The Black Panther, Iron Man, and Snow White to perform a socially distance parade for the Children hospitalized at St Christopher’s Hospital for Children. ABF’s Captain Poodaman Care Package Program - Over 200 Captain Poodaman Care Packages filled with The Adventures of Captain Poodaman coloring book, crayons, superhero capes and masks, snacks, toys, and a Chick Fil-A gift card. The care packages brought cheer to Children with cancer and other life threatening diseases hospitalized at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ronald McDonald House, St Christopher’s, and Shriners. Thank you for your service goodie bags filled with snacks and Chick Fil-A gift cards were given to over 500 medical staff at the aforementioned treating hospitals. ABF’s Coast to Coast Digital Learning Program - Computer charging carts stocked with 10 Chromebooks are donated to Children’s hospitals throughout the USA enabling Children to learn remotely while hospitalized. Children LOVE to be able to see their teacher and classmates while they are in the hospital. It gives them a sense of normalcy. ABF’s Coats for Kids Program - Provided over 1000 coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and pajamas to Children coping with cancer and other life threatening Childhood diseases, and also to their siblings. National Ahmad Butler Day aka Pooday - Every year on Pooday, we celebrate our newly awarded national day by honoring Children battling cancer and other life threatening diseases. The purpose of POODAY is to create a "WONDERFUL DISTRACTION" for these beautiful Children. A day we can honor and encourage them. A memorable day, they can enjoy with their loved ones that will allow them to be Children again and not worry about their constant battle with their horrible diseases. Pooday 2021 was a “Virtual Silly Hat Pizza Party”. EVERYTHING needed to participate in Pooday 2021 was delivered to the hospitals including decorations, games, snacks, beverages and PIZZA! 1000 participants (participants included Children, their families, donors, and treating medical staff) joined from their location via Zoom, as Governor Tom Wolf, Governor John Carney, Congressman Brendon Boyle, the Philly Phanatic, Swoop (Philadelphia Eagles mascot) Superheroes and Disney Princesses Pooday 2022 “Under The Sea” will be live and in person at the New Jersey Adventure Aquarium. ABF’s Kicks for Kids Program - Provided over 200 pairs of Nike sneakers to Children battling cancer and other life threatening diseases. ABF’s Night Out With the Phillies - The Philadelphia Phillies donated 1200 tickets (4 games 300 tickets each game) to ABF for Children coping with cancer and other life threatening diseases and their families. ABF Volunteers threw an AWESOME pregame tailgate party for the Children we serve and their families, where they were able to eat, play games, win prizes, receive Phillies memorabilia and enjoy themselves prior to the game. Once inside the Phillies game they enjoyed an upfront and personal visit with the Philly Phanatic. enjoyed a pregame tail. This “WONDERFUL DISTRACTION” filled families with joy and anticipation of this year’s game.
