Mission: The mission of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) is:

To perform great symphonic music at the highest level of artistic excellence to educate, entertain, and enhance cultural life.

To present engaging music education programs for young people to foster early interest in and inspire lifelong enjoyment of music.

To achieve ever-greater levels of artistic accomplishment and leadership in Fort Worth and across the nation.

Each year the FWSO performs over 200 concerts for more than 200,000 people across North Texas. This includes nearly 65,000 children who experience the Orchestra through a robust selection of education programs.

The FWSO also serves as the resident orchestra for the Fort Worth Opera, Texas Ballet Theater, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and Texas Christian University Piano Festival.

Whether in Bass Performance Hall, local schools, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, or community centers in nearby towns, the FWSO affirms that Life Is Better With Music!

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1958, and donations are tax-deductible.
