The beading and embroidery is good quality, making it an all around very nice headband. HOWEVER, they ruined it by sticking that godawful, poor quality snake on the front. If the same attention to detail was maintained through the whole piece, I could recommend buying this. It wasnt; so I can't.

This does run a bit small but I only wear it for one song in my show, quot;Walk Like An Egyptian.quot; I sing in an 80's band and I wore this last weekend for the first time, and it was a huge hit! The audience LOVES props. The guys in my band love it too. So far so good, I am taking really good care of it. Very satisfied with this purchase. LOVE the funny little fluffy snake on the front.

After reading a few of the not happy reviews on this I was sort of hesitant to purchase but now glad I did. Granted the beads do not go all the way around the headpiece, that would have been a nice addition, but overall I still like it. I have a small head and it fits me perfect. I will admit the little stuffed snake on the front is a tad on the cheesy side, but it will still work for my purpose, my costume did not come with a headpiece. I have it out of the package sitting on a mannequin head to kind of help some of the front pieces to lay down, they were sort of sticking out when I took it out of the package. So far I have had no bead fall-out and I hope it stays that way but it's not like I am going to be taking it on and off so, so far so good. If anything changes I will update my review to reflect such.

First let me say that I was hesitant about ordering this product. It looked cheesy to me and I didn't like the angle of the snake, but after reading the I ordered it. I am glad that I did! For the price it's a pretty good piece and the snake has a wire inside so the angle is adjustable. The back of the head band is elastic and fits well. I am happy that I purchased this headpiece and think it's an excellent accessory for my Cleopatra costume. The headband was stretchy, and comfortable, and could fit adults. The beaded strands hanging down were metallic and eye-catching. The asp was pliable and could be moved and bent however you'd like. I got a lot of compliments on it. I rely heavily on reviews from others when purchasing items online so I try to be as thorough and honest in giving my opinion as possible.[...]

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter and she loved it! She wanted to wear it for hours but told her it had to wait until Halloween. Comfortable band on her head and cobra is soft, not hard wired as I had expected. Tempted to order another to have for fun dress up!

It's better than most cheap costume elements. However, it still looks a bit cheesy. But I haven't found any headresses for the price that looked better.

Fits my 4 year old niece's head perfectly! Was a bit small for mine. Very pretty costume piece, but is a bit delicate...the bead strands fell off quite easily, and the asp was prone to holes. But it was also easy to fix, and worked for its intended purpose.
