Haven't used it yetI'm too chicken to try, but I will one of these days! It's exactly what is needed to make Norwegian Krumkake!

Made a Norwegian wedding cake for my daughter's big day. Kransekake is a cake that travels well. Can be assembled at the destination. There is a fault in the description, Fox run does not weigh 246 pounds. It should be 2,46 pounds. Very happy with purchase

Fox Run is a great choice in your search for Kransekake Molds. They are durable, very non-stick and the price is much more reasonable than other brands. You will be very happy with your purchase. I was and I plan on buying more for gifts in the future.

These pans are good quality, non-stick, and perfect for making a Kransekake. I tried using them with traditional almond dough (decorated) and gingerbread dough with success for both. They are perfectly sized for creating the tower. Rolling the dough perfectly is much more challenging!

I used a little pam just in case, but no semolina. I gently spun the cooled rings to release from pans like others suggested and there was absolutely no sticking. I used a (brand new) sausage extruder attachment on my Kitchenaid to pipe the rings, so they were super even when they baked and they did not stick to each other. I overcooked two rings, so I tried to quickly roll new rings by hand and redo, but those came out uneven and too puffy (and stuck together). If you roll your rings VERY even (about the size of a sharpie thick), or use some kind of dough extruder, you will make a perfect Kransekake on your first try like I did. The hardest part of making it was the 12 minutes ot took to clean the sausage extruder.

The moulds worked fine. Some of the dough did stick to them and as a result a few of the rings fell apart, but most of it was fine. Next time I will coat the moulds with oil just to be sure that nothing sticks to them. The recipe worked well too, just the icing that I made used a lot more powdered sugar than mentioned in the recipe (it would have been too thin otherwise). For faster preparation you can replace the almonds with almond flour and there are plenty of alternative recipes available online.

First try came out amazing! No issues with the molds at all! I used Paul Hollywoods recipe and it was easy to work with, I would not use the icing recipe again, it's a very stiff consistency and very hard to pipe, my arthritic hands were done for the day!

I'd give this 10 stars if I could. It took me six bakes to get my Kransekake and these pans helped me get there. Wonderful item!

These rings worked as advertised for baking Kransekake layers. No sticking (as long as you are careful about keeping the dough diameter to pencil thickness, any bigger and the rings stick to each other). My comment is aimed more at those who think making a Kransekake is as easy as it looks on Food Network. It is a time consuming NIGHTMARE, and when we did succeed in creating a finished product, it was a horrific tower of gummy, chewy dough unattractively held together by globs of frosting. So large that we ate maybe 1/3 (it didn't taste bad) before the rest turned into a soggy spongy mess (the life expectancy of the cake appears to be 24 hours). If you want to try your hand at Kransekake, these rings will work. But they won't make you a competent baker, based on my experience. Better yet, if you can find me I know of a good ring set that was only used once.

I successfully made Paul Hollywood's Kransekake from The Great British Bake-Off; these pans worked perfectly and released my cakes (or chewy cookies; whatever they're called) perfectly. Looking forward to trying other flavor variations I've seen online (gingerbread, vanilla). Fox Run is a dependable affordable brand; this set is very nice. (FYI: Not being a fan of raw-egg-white royal icing, I made a meringue-powder icing recipe instead.)
