My brown sugar was super hard so I purchased this bear! Super easy to use! And now my brown sugar is soft again!

We put 2 of these Terra cotta bears in a really big bag of organic brown sugar that had gone brick hard - I was ready to toss it but thought we'd give these a try and in about one week the whole bag was just as we bought it - beautifully soft and naturally moist - we keep them in all the time and the sugar stays perfect. I'm buying another one for the jar we keep on the table!!!

Is terra-cotta brown bear has been the best solution for softening my brown sugar. Only emerge it into water for 15 minutes, take it out and put it in your brown sugar bag and the next day your sugar is soft like it used to be. I am planning to buy more for my friends.

Product was exactly as pictured in the listing. Just gave it a brief wash and soaked in a bowl of clean water for 15-20 minutes. Saved my brown sugar from being an unusable rock!

I forgot to take photos of before and after, BUT I had rock hard brown sugar.. like ROCK hard I had about a cup I was using a knife to try and break it up.. Anyways. I decided to buy a bear to try and see how that would work. I put the bear in water for about 30 minutes (it says 20 but I forgot about it). Placed it in the container. figured if it didnt work my sugar was too far gone. I have more I'd start fresh. Next morning. I had FLUFFY MOIST Brown sugar!

mine unfortunately arrived chipped, only reason for the 4 stars. other than that, I love it! would definitely recommend, I just hope that if I order another that they package/pad it a bit better.

We live in Arizona where it is dry year-round and I was skeptical, but this really works. Our brown sugar was one solid block, so hard we had to break it with a mallet to get in a jar. We followed the Teddy instructions and the next morning the sugar was granular again; no lumps.

After having a container dry put and clump, I decided to give it a try. It really works! No a rip off gadget. Has a few other uses for it as well, but this one is in my brown sugar container and I love it.

I am incredibly surprised about how well this works. I use brown sugar rarely, so I end up throwing away the hard rock of sugar that it inevitably turns into between uses.I needed it recently and, surprise surprise, it turned into one chunk. Did some research and it led me to these little guys. Soaked it for thirty minutes, patted it dry with a paper towel, and tossed it in.Next day, consistency of the sugar was back to normal. You will have to resoak every three months or so to refresh the moisture (I set reminders on my phone for things like this). If you have a large sugar jar, you may need more than one since they are rather small.The other thing to mind, try to set it up that it doesn't touch the sugar as much as possible. It did ruin the sugar underneath it (from the moisture) when I threw it in flat, so I repositioned it to this angle.Every brown sugar jar should have a terracotta bear!

Bear came without a foot, the foot broke off in box. Still used in brown sugar. Strange have to soak it in water first.

Upon receiving this sugar bear we immediately used it in some brown sugar that was unusable. The result was the sugar was restored like fresh.

I have started making my own brown sugar and this little bear keeps the sugar moist and stops the hardening of the sugar! Love him

If you follow the directions it works perfect. I don't use a lot of brown sugar and usually throw it out but this keeps it for months

I didn't think it was possible for this cute little terra cotta bear to work so well, but I can easily spoon out a teaspoon of my brown sugar whenever I want. Love this.
