I sadly had to replace my Mom's 1950's Pyrex clear glass batter mixing bowl after it broke (sniff, sniff). It was the perfect bowl to mix pancake batter for Sunday morning pancakes. I so decided to try this Anchor Hocking bowl because it was similar. It's definitely bigger than my old one and much heavier. It did work great this AM for mixing up batter. Having a larger capacity was nice too. I scoop out batter with a large spoon to make pancakes and the lip of the bowl wiped off extra batter from the spoon perfectly. It's quite heavy to pick up by the handle with one hand and pour, but glass bowls tend to be heavy to use that way. I'm sure I'll use it for other batters. It's a keeper.

It's heavy because it's glad, but it's exactly what I wanted. So handy for making pancakes, cupcakes, muffins with the pour spout. I'm very happy with it. It arrived in perfect condition.

This measure is so perfect for my homemade ice cream!! I always have to chill the cream mixture and this works fantastic!!

Previous batter bowl broke after 35 years. After doing without for a year finally decided on this one. This has a slightly larger bottom than the last on we had which actually makes it better for its purpose.

The handle has a sharp seam where the glass was blown on the inside curve that makes it irritating and even painful to hold especially when it's full. Come on Anchor Hocking! Grind that down!

Durable, measurements are useful, and I find I use this bowl for almost every recipe requiring a bowl to mix. Great value!

This is a great mixng bowl. I love that it has a handle for gripping/pouring. I also love that it has a spout. It籹 great for cake batters and all sorts of things. I wish they would make it in a larger size as well. It reminds me of a similar, but smaller, glass dough bowl my great grandma had.

I cooke/bake all the time and had a similar bowl for years and used it constantly. Was crused when I broke it. Recently replaced it with this and am very happy with it. It's sturdy and big enough to use for everything.

The mixing bowl is great, easy to use and well made if you get the right one. The first one I sent back because of an odd channel running down the inside of the spout. The second one had a very small channel. I decided to keep it anyway. The third one I ordered for a gift and thankfully was perfect. I hope they keep making these despite the manufacturing issues.

I did not have an opportunity to use the item because it was broken in 1000 pieces when I received it. Perhaps it is a wonderful item I will never know now because I will not re-purchase it.
