I love how heavy and sturdy this batter bowl is. The raised, easy to read measurements on the outside were my main reason for choosing this as I have a shelf full of measuring cups and bowls that you can no longer read due to wear and use. I wish that a set of 1 quart, 2 cup and 1 cup were available as well. As I said, it is heavy, so if you have wrist or hand problems, it might be a bit much to lift with batter or other contents inside of it.

Heavy duty, I use it constantly. I had received one as a Christmas gift and decided I wanted another one. The lid is just icing on the cake.

There was a rough seam on the outside where the mold came together. At first, I thought it was a crack. The measurements are a bit difficult to read as the entire item is clear glass. The 2 qt. size is exactly what I needed.

My previous batter bowl had printed measurements on the sides, and after a couple of years, they mostly wore off. This one has raised markings in the glass, so they won't come off over time, even in the dishwasher. I also like how this bowl is rounded inside at the bottom so ingredients don't get stuck along the edges. My only gripe is that there are a few places where the glass seems like it didn't get sanded down (or whatever you would call it), so there are some sharp seams. On my bowl, one of those spots is under the handle, so it can be uncomfortable to hold.

This Anchor Hocking mixing bowl is much thinner glass than my 1 quart mixing bowl and it doesn't have the red markings on it so the measurements are harder to see.

I like using glass versus plastic, and it pours well, but it's on the heavy side. Measurements are easy to read.

This is my new favorite mixing bowl! I can see through it to measure ingredients, and it's big enough to handle my whole recipe! It kind of heavy because it is all glass, but I don't mind. I love the fact that it's glass, because I can microwave with it, without getting pot marks on the side of the bowl!

It works fine... but the lettering is kinda hard to read. Anchor Hawlking may need to get some new or updated glass molds for this product so the lettering is easier to read. (I didn't want to buy the more expensive glass measuring container) Just my opinion. Thanks,

I use this to make kefir. It works pretty good. The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that when it is full I can't pour any of it without spilling some.

Moment of truth, my husband hates it, I love it and since I do the cooking, I get to pick what I want to use. He hates that it is so heavy and was afraid I couldn't lift it when full. the handle also has a molding issue. They could have smoothed it out to make it a little nicer. After reading reviews on a couple of different brands, I chose this one because the measurements are etched into the glass and are not painted on which some said washed off very quickly. I also really like the size and the handle when I'm whipping something.It was a good choice for me.
