I needed a sturdy glass bowl to make crme brle. Because it needs to go through a sieve, and it needs to be poured into the molds, so the bowl had to have a handle. It is perfect!

This bowl is great for any kind of mixing, the pour spout and handle make it extra convenient to use, and the thick tempered glass is wonderfully sturdy. A perfect tool, highly recommended!

Exactly what I wanted, have already made ice cream (to pour in my machine) and pancake batter. Love having the measurements and love that the markings won't come off after repeated washing.

I really hate dragging out a large bowl for mixing smaller items likes eggs or a batter. This glass measuring cup is just what I needed. I did see one this size in a store by the other brand, but it has the measuring lines in red ink on the outside of the cup. I have a 2 cup version of theirs and I find that the red lines start to disappear after washings. Since the measure lines are part of the glass, this one will never loose the lines.

I love this! It's very sturdy and versatile, and I can't believe how cheap it was. I've used it several times since buying it, and it's handy for cake batters, making pancakes, whipping cream, and more. Highly recommend.

Before I found this bowl, mixing was a nightmare. How could I be sure that the ingredients at the bottom of my bowl were properly mixed with the ingredients on the top? How could I possibly hold the bowl with one hand when there wasn't a handle? You can't imagine the nightmares this bowl has saved me from. Imagine thinking your dough was mixed, only to turn it out and discover dry flour left on the bottom. Or serving Chicken Salad that seemed well enough, but once we made it to the bottom we discovered dry, unmixed chicken.Thanks to this all-glass bowl, I can now rest assured that my ingredients are mixing. My cooking has improved, which has caused my general countenance to improve. Even my kids and husband have noticed an increase in my happinessI now find pride and in my work. I am so grateful and blessed to have found this bowl.

My wife likes to prepare mixes, like pancake batter, in pyrex measuring bowls to minimize the number of measuring cups needed (just use the markers on the side). Previous bowls had markings that faded, then disappeared, after regular use. This one, with raised markings, should avoid that fate.Only nit to pick is that it'd be nice if the raised markings were colored - yes, they'd fade and disappear, but they'd be nice while they lasted...

It's a glass measuring bowl my issue is it has a rough interior on the bottom not sure what has caused it .

Use it for batters where I need to direct what I pour -- pancakes, muffins and bundt cakes. I make A LOT of bundt cakes, and this is so much easier to use than any of my mixing bowls. I like the high sides and narrower base for mixing them up, too. Seems to be less spillage when I whisk. It is quite heavy, but that's what makes it sturdy so I can't complain. The handle makes it easier to maneuver. It is marked with measurements, but I don't use those markings. Their quantity is too high (like 2 cups minimum) for my needs. They are pressed into the glass, not painted on like my Pyrex measuring cups, so they should never wear off.

We've had a well used Anchor Hocking batter bowl for years. We use it for literally everything! The handle is especially great for young bakers to hold on to! We bought our second batter bowl because the first is so well-loved.
