This is a good set for the price.<br /><br />Have been working on a few projects and the plastic clamping system works very easy. I haven't had troubles with it.<br /><br />It is comfortable to hold and simple to use as a beginner. Perfect for large projects. A little difficult to remove the clamps at first, but figured it out. Versatile and essential if you're working on a big piece.

I really like the frame. Works well and the wood is well polished. However 3 of the 8 knobs are not straight. One of the larger rods has a much smaller length screw. I am currently using it but not sure it will hold up over time.

I love this frame! I've been using plastic hoops which are fine, but it's prevented me from wanting to try bigger projects. I haven't done anything huge with this yet, but even the small-medium projects I do have been made easier! It is a bit difficult to get the clamps off the rods, I'm assuming they might loosen up a bit over time. I was worried that it wouldn't hold my fabric tight - I really like having super taut fabric to work on - but it's been great! It's easy for me to put down and pick up later (don't have to worry about marks being left by a hoop), and it's comfortable to hold so I'm not cramping my had. Moving/scrolling to different areas is also super easy. I love it!

So, I just got this item. I opened it up just like a kid at Christmas time. I took my cross stitching project and put it in the frame. It only took me a minute or two to figure it all out… the frame that is. Now I'm sitting on my couch and have resumed my cross stitching. I think it's going to take me a bit of time to get used to using it. It always takes me a while to get used to anything new. But I have to say that I already understand why my mom swore by these types of sewing frames… They are much easier to work with than the typical circular hoops.
