We bought these to go with our pickle ball racket set. We needed the outdoor balls because ours came with indoor balls. We are beginners so I don’t know if it really matters if you use indoor or outdoor balls. But the price was right.

When I first started playing, not knowing any better, I just ordered some Onix Pure 2 outdoor balls. Then as I started playing several of the frequent players at my courts pointed out that they aren't approved for tournament play and that I needed to get the Franklin X-40s as they were the only ones that were. Now I'm not sure if that's absolutely true or not but I could definitely feel a difference in the Franklin ball and felt it best go ahead and make the move so that when I play with anyone else, I would already be used to how the ball feels. I've been very happy with these balls and feel confident in their flight. The Onix Pure 2s and most of the cheep random balls seem to be jumpier and very inconsistent compared to the Franklin X-40s.

We use this pickleball several times a week and it's been great. It's been 2 or 3 months and still in great condition. We are relatively new to the game so we don't have much to compare it to, but overall happy with these balls.

There are many opinions on the court about pickleballs and my opinion is that these are the best for playing outdoors. Don’t use the ones that come with your paddle, they are trash.

I live in an area where a pickleball is very prominent and popular. This is the only ball that other than PPA use is accepted on any Court. They're simply the only ball You'll Ever Need.

I had brought an off-brand ball to my local court and the experienced players told me to get rid of them and to buy the X-40s.

I only use Franklin balls. They are uniform and very durable. Can be used for several games before wear is shown. I can’t say enough about this company from paddles to their balls!

These are great balls, particularly for the money. However, when playing outside, I prefer a heavier ball. These are very lightweight.

The Franklin X-40 seems to be the accepted standard at our local courts. They are durable and hold their shape well. Bright color for easy visibilty. Same ball that seems to be used in most local tournaments. A little pricy but excellent quality

Cost more than off brands but worth it in extended playing time and quality of play.I am all for off brands but not with this one.
