Mission: Friends In Action, Intl. (FIA) exists to accelerate the spread of the Gospel to people groups who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. FIA partners with missionaries, nationals, and indigenous people to provide infrastructure projects and practical service as a platform to share and demonstrate the love of God.
Results: Since FIA's inception in 1992, we have provided spiritual and physical assistance to 1,000's of indigenous people in some of the most remote locations around the globe. From clean water, teaching life-skills, teaching Biblical truth, constructing roads, homes, and airstrips, delivering supplies to jungle and bush missionaries, FIA is busy meeting needs to the glory of God! FIA has a long-standing track record of fiscal accountability, completed projects, and lives changed by Christ. FIA has received Charity Navigator’s coveted 4-star accountability/transparency rating, and a Platinum rating from Guide Star (the highest level of transparency offered to non-profits). In addition, FIA has received the prestigious Top-Rated Badge from greatnonprofits. org, the one and only people’s choice award where volunteers, donors, and people served by FIA share their opinion of our work.
Target demographics: demonstrate the love of God
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year alone, we reached over 200,000 people with the Gospel through 10 projects in six remote locations! FIA’s efforts also provided clean water to more than 20,000 West African villagers, medical assistance to 1,200 in the Amazon jungle, community transformation projects to 1,400 Rama Cay people of Nicaragua, and discipleship training to almost 3,000 in Moldova, Papua New Guinea, and Bolivia!
