Mission: Our objective is to bring lower-income families, and individuals to a point of self-sufficiency. We will teach them how to empower themselves, by giving them the tools necessary to become self - sufficient by assisting our clients, through referrals, in acquiring the services they need to live with health & dignity. We will help to find the support that they need to build a stable living environment for a brighter tomorrow. KID's First Program is to provide children with the opportunities for academic advancement by providing tutorial assistance. It is our foundation's firm belief that children should always remain children and to give them the proper tools, opportunities and guidance despite their family's circumstances that are beyond their control and comprehension.
Results: FY2019 Statement of Program Service Accomplishments: Nine (9) families completed our budgeting program; ten (10) clients serviced through our new mother's program (client receives newborn necessities); our food pantry program serviced 32 families on a monthly basis & provided emergency food services to 3* families. Our special event/Easter program provided 22 baskets for children in need; our back to school program assisted 38 children with backpacks & school supplies; our fall fest program provided 21 children with costumes & an outing to the Virginia Zoo; 78 families received Thanksgiving Food Baskets; 115 children received toys & gifts through our secret santa holiday program (various co-sponsors); our elderly assistance program assisted 8 clients with prescription assistance & case management. Through our outreach program we service approximately 16 families with case management on a monthly basis.

Programs: Food Pantry & Clothing Closet~ Designed to help with emergency food, household staples, and clothing. Referral Resources~ distributes needed information to those clients in need of additional resources. KIDS 1st Program~ designed to help children in need. Back to school back pack distribution, Secret Santa Holiday Campaign, Movie Nights, and other variety of kid friendly programs are incorporated including tutorial programs.
