After weeks of using seachems stability, I was doing water changes daily, I couldn't get the ammonia down. I was really uncomfortable about using this product because I just don't think bacteria can survive in a bottle. But after a 3ppm ammonia reading I was desperate. This gave my tank the boost of bacteria it needed to balance out. Thank you!

I have been using this for a few years now. It works great when you need to quickly setup a tank. I ended up getting a Flowerhorn unexpectedly and needed to setup a tank right away. That was the October before last and the flowerhorn Fred is still doing fine. I always have a bottle on hand. I also use it after cleaning a filter.

Got the 1-Gallon jug on sale and it was definitely worth it. However, the recommended dosage seems to be pretty large so you will eat through this much faster than other competitive products on the market. This appears to be dosing close to 10 times the volume of other products. None the less, great product.

Cycled a tank for 2 months. Not well enough, had nitrite levels of 1 within a day. Did ridiculous water changes for a week. Got this. Nitrites went down within 2 days, nitrates rose. Bacteria in a bottle is great.

After trying multiple other products and techniques to get our nitrogen cycle going, this is the only thing that worked!

Bought a brand new filter and had no prior filter material to use, and this stuff converted ammonia into nitrites and nitrates after just 2 days. Can't do that the natural way!

As all Fritz products this is a good one that works as advertised. Filter colonization is rather slow but certain and efficient. Biofiltration becomes twice as effective with this product. However, there's no reason for the high price as similar products sell for substantially less.

I was not able to use it because it was delivered frozen both with the original, and the replacement.

My 10 gallon tank fully cycled at using this in 20 days. I had nitrites in 36 hours, so it absolutely helped with that stage significantly. Although nitrates took quite a bit longer to appear, that's the case with a normal cycle as well. I do believe this made a significant difference, as a normal cycle usually takes about twice as long. Good product! I'm not sure if I'd be as confident ordering in the dead of summer or winter, but it seems to have arrived still effective during the fall.
