I usually cook with fresh onions but there are times when onion powder is called for in a recipe like in a rub or something but I'd never had one that really tastes like onion to me. It's surprisingly good and works great, if I happen to be out of the fresh stuff. It's been opened for a little while and the taste/smell has not faded and it does not have a weird after taste...looking forward to checking out some of their other products.

I cook a lot and usually use fresh onions but I do like the flavor of onion powder/granules in some things when I want the onion flavor but not the texture. This product smells wonderful and adds great flavor to everything. I have been very happy with all of the Frontier products I have purchased.
