I gifted some to family. It's just a beautiful mix of cayenne, paprika, old bay, celery saltamongst others. I sprinkle it on peanuts or cook with it. Just love it. Mild to med spice heat.

The flavor is delicious, but WOW it is spicy! If you don't have a firebrick lined mouth use caution when adding this to your dish.

This is a very nice blend and spicy. It's got sort of a bar-b-que flavoring to it. I love it so much, I immediately ordered a larger amount. Most of the spices I've been buying lately have been very salty or very bland with little flavor. This has a very good flavor and I've already used it on ribs and chicken. I got rave reviews on both. I also added it to a stew I made with tomatoes and beef, and I turned around and a huge pot was gone. They totally wiped out a huge pot of stew. I love spices and this is the best one I've purchased in quite a few years. This makes a good addition to any type of rub your concocting. I used it like it is... kind of hot... but not overly. Makes a great addition to your spice cabinet!

I've eaten Ethiopian and the flavor is definitely in the neighborhood of what I have eaten but importantly I LOVE how it tastes! I suppose if you really want to get an authentic flavor you can make your own spice mix or go to an Ethiopian market if you are lucky enough to live near one! :) Still, the flavor is smoky and spicy and tangy and bright all at once. Delicious when we make roasted chick peas. Best blend we have tried and we actually went to a fancy spice place in town that sold a blend but we like this better.
